President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed to the electorate to give the
\ngoverning All Progressives Congress (APC) another four years to complete
\nall the ongoing developmental projects and to initiate fresh ones.The president, who made the appeal at the Federal Capital Territory\u2019s
\nPresidential rally of the APC, said his administration would continue to
\nensure efficient utilisation of the nation\u2019s scarce resources in the
\nprovision of infrastructural facilities across the country.<\/p>\n

He, therefore, assured citizens that government would continue to use the
\nlittle resources at its disposal to make life better for them.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe have done a lot to start building the infrastructure \u2013 the
\nroads, you know it more than I do; the railway and then power \u2013 we are
\ngoing to get them done.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you give us the next four years I assure you, you won\u2019t regret it.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Mr Buhari also insisted that those involved in the wastage of over 16
\nbillion dollars on power sector without any meaningful results under the
\nprevious administrations would be investigated and anyone found wanting
\nwould be prosecuted.<\/p>\n

Although the president did not mention whose administration spent the
\nmoney, the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was in
\npower when the projects were initiated and executed.<\/p>\n

The House of representative had in 2008 launched investigation into the
\nexecution of the projects.<\/p>\n

Mr Buhari said: \u201cYou know there was no power under the previous
\nadministrations, and a previous government admitted without anybody asking
\nthem, that they spent $16 billion for power. You know more than I do \u2013
\nWhere is the power? Where is the money?<\/p>\n

\u201cMy point is on bribery and corruption, which is one of my three areas of
\nfocus. Those people who say they spent 16 billion dollars on power, they
\nwill account for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, we are under a system now. Those who have been given
\nresponsibilities, in the three tiers of government; the Federal, States
\nand Local Governments as they are busy, we will ask anti-graft agencies to
\ninvestigate and prosecute them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have already done a lot of cases, you know it, they came here and
\nbought properties here in Abuja, and they invested outside the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are appealing to different States in Europe and America to please help
\nus recover looted government properties, which we are now putting back to
\nbuilding infrastructure.\u201d
\nThe president used the opportunity to seek for votes from Nigerians of
\nvoting age, as they go to the polls on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, who also spoke at the rally, called
\non the youth to come out and massively vote for Mr Buhari and other APC
\ncandidates in the general election.<\/p>\n

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr Buhari, who will be
\nconcluding his nationwide rally in Katsina, his home state, on Thursday,
\nhas so far held rallies in 35 States and the Federal Capital Territory
\n(FCT).<\/p>\n

The president is expected to move to Daura immediately after the Katsina
\nrally, where he will cast his vote on Saturday.<\/p>\n
