Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is not a noise maker. He is also not a rabble

In the last four years, Gov. Ugwuanyi has taken Enugu State to a different
\nlevel, focusing more on hitherto abandoned areas and touching the lives of

His infrastructural development is second to none in the history of Enugu

\nAmankwo-Amaeke-Amah Brewery Junction-9th Mile bypass; the Ohom Orba
\nJunction-Imilike Ani- Ezimo Uno- Ezimo Agu-Imilike \u2013Ogbodu Aba-Obollo
\nEtiti-Amalla-Obollo Afor ring road; the Enugu Road Junction-Umuezebi-Nru

\nyears, Ugwuanyi has indeed written his name in diamond in the history of
\nEnugu State.<\/p>\n
Ugwuanyi has opened up rural areas, developing and building road networks
\nto ease the pains farmers go through in transporting goods to the urban
\nareas. That,ont its own, is economic empowerment.<\/p>\n
Not only has he done infrastructure. The welfare of the people especially
\nworkers has been priority to the soft-spoken, easy going born-again
\nchristian.<\/p>\n
The payment of workers\u2019 salaries which has been a major priority for his
\nadministration, Civil servants, according to confirmed reports, receive
\nalerts on the 23rd of every month. This is aside from the 13th salary
\nevery December usually on the 13th.<\/p>\n
IGR is 13% of total revenue, NLC\/TUC part of utilization of state funds,
\n6000 ghost workers off the books, there is a ‘pay workers first” policy,
\nEnugu doesn’t use its share of Paris Club fund to pay salaries and
\npension.<\/p>\n
He has also found a way to connect with traders at the popular Okpara
\nSquare market through an empowerment scheme that allows them to win N50,
\n000 monthly for business expansion. Pensioners have a steady release of
\nN100million through which they get their gratuities.<\/p>\n
He is also in right standing with many political heavyweights, including
\nopposition figures who credit him for not being antagonistic. The PDP\u2019s
\ncampaign train has basically thrived on endorsements by critical
\nstakeholders in the state, especially artisans, traders, market women,
\nyouth organizations and ethnic nationalities.
\nIt is a high bar.<\/p>\n
Ugwuanyi aside from all his achievements in building the state, he has
\nalso maintained a very cordial relationship with past leaders of the
\nstate. This has promoted political peace in the state.<\/p>\n
