Top officials of the All Progressive Congress, APC and the Presidency have
\nbeen putting pressures on the Independent National Electoral Commission,
\nINEC, to conduct staggered elections, competent sources told
\npointblanknews.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Staggered elections is when elections are not held the same day across the
\ncountry.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com gathered that officials of the APC and the Presidency
\nwould prefer a staggered elections to enable them perfect rigging plans.<\/p>\n

The source, who does not want to be named disclosed that the refusal of
\nthe electoral body to the demand of APC and the Presidency to conduct a
\nstaggered elections is reason why the conduct of the elections are being
\nsabotaged.<\/p>\n

According to the source, the Presidency not only sabotaged INEC’s efforts
\nto transport election materials to various states, officials of the
\nCentral Bank of Nigeria, CBN, where sensitive materials were kept, refused
\nto cooperate with INEC in releasing election materials.<\/p>\n

“All of a sudden, flights won’t take INEC materials, the ones that took
\nthem, flew them to wrong destinations, CBN also would not want to
\ncooperate, they suddenly became too busy or stretched to work with us. We
\njust started hearing lots of excuses and this is strange,” a source told
\nPointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n

“They deliberately compromised logistics distribution,” the source said.<\/p>\n

The source said INEC leadership is determined to conduct a free and fair
\nelections and would not yield to pressures to have elections staggered.<\/p>\n

“The leadership of INEC from what I know would not yield to the pressure
\nto stagger the elections. They have made it clear and I am sure that is
\nwhy the APC and the Presidency are trying to frustrate the process,” the
\nsource hinted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
