The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has
\ncalled for immediate arrest of Buba Galadima, chieftain of the Peoples
\nDemocratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n

In a statement on Sunday, the APC campaign council accused Galadima of
\nplotting to announce Atiku Abubakar, PDP presidential candidate, as the
\nwinner of the presidential election.<\/p>\n

The council claimed Galadima had recorded a short video to this effect,
\nwhile acting on behalf of the PDP as its campaign spokesman.<\/p>\n

It also claimed the opposition party is plotting to mobilise \u201choodlums\u201d
\nfor nationwide protests.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn preparation for this reckless move, some PDP social media agents are
\nalready flying some kites on-line as to the number of States allegedly
\n\u2018won\u2019 by PDP,\u201d read a statement issued by Festus Keyamo, spokesman of the
\ncampaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn fact, Alhaji Buba Galadima, an official spokesperson for Alhaji Atiku
\nAbubakar has made a short video announcing PDP as the \u2018winner\u2019 of the
\nPresidential Election.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs an official spokesperson, he is clearly acting on behalf of Alhaji
\nAtiku Abubakar and on his instruction. We, therefore call for the
\nimmediate arrest, interrogation and prosecution of Alhaji Buba Galadima in
\nthis regard. The world is watching and waiting on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to
\nsay something on the video by Alhaji Buba Galadima.\u201d<\/p>\n

The APC campaign council added that it learnt the PDP has summoned an
\nemergency meeting in Abuja regarding the election.<\/p>\n

\u201cTop on the agenda of the PDP is to activate the last strand of their
\nDubai strategies that have since collapsed like a pack of cards: they plan
\nto release fake results of the Presidential Election later today or early
\nMonday morning that they claim to have compiled themselves,\u201d Keyamo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur information is that they aim to create crises and confusion that will
\nlead to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar claiming victory in a day or two from today
\nahead of the official announcement of the results by INEC. Then, what
\nwould follow will be some carefully choreographed protests by pockets of
\nhoodlums in some parts of the country. The ultimate aim is to curry the
\nsympathy of our foreign friends and push us to the Venezuela situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur call is therefore to INEC, Nigeria Broadcasting Commission and all
\nlaw-enforcement agencies to continually warn the PDP and all their
\nsurrogates like the amorphous CUPP and their likes that anyone who flouts
\nthe law on announcement of official results will be made to face the law.
\nOpposition does not confer immunity on anyone to flout the law.\u201d<\/p>\n

TheCable reached out to Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP spokesman, for reaction but
\nhe had not responded as of the time when this report was filed.<\/p>\n

The opposition party had earlier asked INEC to declare Atiku winner of the
