{"id":65140,"date":"2019-02-27T06:06:22","date_gmt":"2019-02-27T05:06:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=65140"},"modified":"2019-02-27T06:06:22","modified_gmt":"2019-02-27T05:06:22","slug":"n2-5b-fraud-court-docks-pinnacle-chairman-adjourns-to-march-12-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/n2-5b-fraud-court-docks-pinnacle-chairman-adjourns-to-march-12-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"N2.5B Fraud: Court docks Pinnacle Chairman, adjourns to March 12, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m-5155993312443877472\" class=\"mail-message\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">The trial of the Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC)- Mal Ishaaq Modibbo Kawu and the Chairman of Pinnacle Communications ltd- Mr Lucky Omoluwa in the N2.5B fraud case brought against them by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commision (ICPC) continued today, February 26, 2019, at the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"m1952452072704326105\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div class=\"m_5526998483117563429yahoo-style-wrap\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>When the case was mentioned, the prosecution Counsel made an application to substitute the charges in the matter. After a brief argument by Mr Alex Izinyon (SAN), counsel to the defendant, the court admitted the substituted charges. The Prosecution counsel also informed the court that it has been difficult serving the charges on the accused persons \u2013 Ishaaq Moddibo Kawu and Lucky Omoluwa. The court ruled that the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th accused be served within 48 hours.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The matter was adjourned to March 12, 2019, for arraignment of the accused persons.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>It will be recalled that in 2018, the ICPC preferred a case of fraud and money laundering against the DG of NBC \u2013 Mal Kawu, chairman of \u00a0of Pinnacle Communitions, Mr Lucky Omoluwa, and the managing director of the company, Mr. Dipo Onifade.
