\nHe goes about his campaign like a ferocious bull running amok and
\nready to crush the matador. Each time this guy and motley of political
\nthugs visit your area or community; they leave behind pain and sorrow.
\nMany innocent members of the public have become victims of his
\nyouthful exuberance which has developed into full-blown rascality.
\nSadly for Oyo people; he is one of the candidates seeking to govern
\nthe Pacesetter state for the next four years. This young man is lucky
\nwith godfathers who have been responsible for his meteoric rise in
\nboth private and political life.
\nThough, in politics he is still considered as neophyte; he is a
\ngovernorship candidate of a major political party in Oyo state. In
\nfairness to him, he possesses a brilliant academic record, which he
\nflaunts whenever occasion calls for it. Unfortunately, this guy lacks
\nthe intelligence needed to occupy such office due to the way and
\nmanner he is going about his campaign.
\nIt is true that many human beings can be brilliant but may not be
\nintelligent. Some are lucky to possess both. Brilliance is the quality
\nof being bright and very clever; while intelligence is the quality of
\nbeing very smart and well-informed.
\nIntelligence and brilliance are both mental abilities that whoever
\nthat wants to be Oyo state governor must possess. Some brilliant
\nindividuals sometime exhibits trait of ego and arrogance because they
\nthink they are the best. In situation where an intelligent person
\nconsiders new ideas; a brilliant person believes he knows everything.
\nThat is why, it is not scary for an intelligent person to try an idea
\nthat may be alien to them, and challenge their preconceived notions
\nabout how the world should be. Intelligent people have the perspective
\nto know that their views are limited, and they need to constantly work
\nat expanding them by entertaining new ideas.
\nDue to the fact that, I don\u2019t want this piece to be misconstrued as a
\n\u2018sponsored piece; I\u2019m not going to mention name. It saddens the minds
\nof some of us who have observed how violence has been introduced to
\ngubernatorial campaigns in Oyo state.
\nUnfortunately, this governorship candidate believes that one of the
\nfactors that could assist him to win the gubernatorial election in Oyo
\nstate is empowering thugs who are on daily basis unleashing mayhem on
\nmembers of the public.
\nThis young man who should rather build on the legacies of his
\ngrandfather is now destroying the legacies left behind by his
\ngrandfather by encouraging violence.
\nAnywhere he goes; his heavily armed thugs unleash mayhem on innocent
\nmembers of the public. Even media houses are not spared of attack by
\nthe thugs.
\nThis guy clearly sees himself as the best candidate who is going to be
\nthe next governor of Oyo state. That is why he feels that he can do
\nand say whatever he wants.
\nThis arrogant attitude is not limited to media interviews but he has
\nrepeatedly extended it to his campaigns. His unpredictable character
\nand authoritarian tendencies are definitely not prerequisites for
\nanybody coming to govern Oyo state.
\nThose close to this guy should endeavour to educate him on why
\nviolence and intimidation don\u2019t get people elected into position of
\nauthority. A proponent of violence and intimidation can never be a
\nprovider of a just and civilized society even if elected.\u00a0 Let me just
\nrest my case here!<\/p>\n
