Leaders of Kaiama have warned a Committee set up to investigate the<\/div>\n
\n
looting and carting away of valuables from the N60billion facility
\nBoro-Town Training Complex to stay away from Kaiama Town in
\nKolokuma\/Opokuma Local Government, Bayelsa State.The Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and Special Adviser
\nto the President on Niger Delta, Prof. Charles Quaker Dokubo, had set up a
\nspecial committee to investigate the looting of the N60billion Boro-Town
\nTraining Complex that was recently looted for nearly five days by
\nhoodlums.<\/p>\n

The Committee is supposed to arrive Kaiama March 4, 2019 to begin a
\nfact finding mission.<\/p>\n

Kaiama Leaders said they cannot guarantee the safety of anyone involve in
\nwhat they termed \u201ca fraudulent committee\u201d set up by Prof. Dokubo.<\/p>\n

In a statement signed by Chief Roland Diepreye Oweifa for Kaiama leaders
\nand made available to Pointblanknews.com which broke the story of the
\nN13billion contract scam in Boro-Town Training Complex, noted that the
\nlooting that took place at the center was orchestrated by Dokubo to cover
\nup the stealing he supervised.<\/p>\n

The statement reads:<\/p>\n

\u201cOur attention has been drawn to the fraudulent committee set-up by the
\nCoordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and Special Adviser to
\nthe President on Niger Delta, Professor Charles Quaker Dokubo to
\ninvestigate the looting of our N60 billion Boro-Town Training Facility in
\nKaiama. The looting of the multi-billion-naira facility took place from
\nMonday February 11, 2019 to Friday February 15, 2019 with no help from any
\nsecurity personnel to stop the looting of government properties.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe the great people of Kaiama town in Kolokuma\/OpokumaLocal Government
\nArea in Bayelsa state hereby state that no such fraudulent committee is
\nwelcome or will be allowed access to our communities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on every able men and women in our communities to rise and remain
\nvigilant as the safety and security of members of such a fraudulent
\ncommittee cannot be guaranteed within our communities. We are all aware
\nthat Prof. Dokubo orchestrated the looting of the multi-billion-naira
\ntraining facility to cover-up his N13 billion worth of non-existent
\nsupplies contracts he awarded and paid to his cronies.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to direct the Inspector
\nGeneral of Police, EFCC, DSS, ICPC, and other federal investigating
\nagencies to urgently investigate this out-right public funds stealing and
\nfraud. Prof. Dokubo should not be allowed to remain in office to
\ninvestigate this brazen theft which he orchestrated and blame it on our
\ncommunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been brought to our notice by various news outlets that Mr.
\nGbaboyor, Head of the Training Center reported the looting to the Police
\nin Bayelsa state February 14, 2019, three days after the looting of the
\nN60 Billion Vocational Training in what appears to be a well-choreographed
\nmove. It states that after the Head of the Boro-Town Vocational Training
\nCenter Mr. Gbaboyor reported the Matter to the Police in Bayelsa state,
\nProf. Dokubo became very angry at Mr. Gbaboyor for reporting the matter to
\nthe Police without them discussing their proposed public statements.<\/p>\n

\u201cProf. Dokubo then instructed Mr. Gbaboyor to immediately withdraw his
\nstatement and the Police report that had already being filed with the
\nPolice in \u201cBayelsa state. On February 15, 2019 Gbaboyor wrote to the
\nPolice in Bayelsa state to withdraw his statement and the report that he
\nhad already filed with the Police.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis begs the question, how can Prof. Dokubo write to withdraw their
\nstatement from the Police whose primary duty is to maintain law and order
\nand investigate crimes, and then turn-around to set-up a committee of his
\nfraudulent cronies with no investigative powers to investigate the events
\nthat the Police should be investigating.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, we once again call on President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to deploy
\nthe powers of the State and investigate this out-right public funds
\nstealing and fraud because Prof. Dokubo should not be allowed to remain in
\noffice to investigate this brazen theft which he orchestrated and blame it
\non our communities.<\/p>\n
