The Igbo Congress felicitates with and heartily congratulates President
\nMuhammadu Buhari on his resounding victory in the just concluded
\nPresidential election. TIC sees President Buhari\u2019s victory as a huge
\nendorsement of honesty, integrity, frugality and transparency which
\nPresident Buhari personifies.<\/p>\n
\u201cTIC endorsed President Buhari for re-election based on the honest and
\ntransparent way he had managed the affairs of the country for the past
\nfour years. This frugal disposition has seen Nigeria emerge stronger from
\na recession from which many other oil-producing countries are yet to
\nsurvive, build a massive infrastructural investment, revolutionary
\nagricultural growth, comprehensive tackling with the ruinous cankerworm of
\ncorruption, historic social intervention scheme, huge economic growth and
\nthe laying of viable foundation for a sold and assured growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn endorsing President Buhari for re-election, we took into consideration
\nhis unassailable achievements in just four years against the moth-ridden
\ndecay he met when he came on board. We considered the massive achievements
\nhe had recorded in Igboland such as the building of the Second Niger
\nBridge, fixing federal highways in the East, building a power plant to
\nenergize the Aba industrial hub, among many others. We are happy that
\nNigerians share our sentiments and they proved this by turning massive
\nvotes for him in the last election.<\/p>\n
\u201cTIC urges President Buhari to continue on his laudable efforts to reclaim
\nNigeria and build a durable and viable nation we all would be proud of. We
\nurge him to continue his indelible record of achievements in Igboland and
\nother parts of the country as history will ultimately vindicate him for
\nrestarting the bulding of a new and modern Nigeria after a long spell of
\nmoth-ridden eras.<\/p>\n
