Party (PDP), Sen. Bala Mohammed has promised to bring back good governance
\ndenied the people.<\/p>\n

Muhammed made the promise during a press conference in Bauchi on Sunday,
\nshortly after the announcement of the supplementary poll results by the
\nIndependent National Electoral Commission (INEC).<\/p>\n

Mohammed polled 6,376 votes as against 5,117 garnered by the incumbent
\ngovernor, Muhammed Abubakar of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n

NAN reports that the just concluded supplementary election took place in
\n15 Local Government Areas of the state on Saturday. \u201cToday is a very
\nauspicious day for us in Bauchi and on behalf of the party, I wish to
\nexpress gratitude and appreciation to God almighty.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe collation of the supplementary poll that has just been concluded by
\nINEC is a work of God and we owe it to him. \u201cWe also owe it to the people
\nof Bauchi who have stood very firm on the threshold of freedom and liberty
\nand have shown that they are the icons of democracy and liberty. \u201cWords
\nalone cannot express my appreciation to them all,\u201d the governor-elect
\nsaid.<\/p>\n

Muhammed also said that the auspicious achievement recorded by the PDP in
\nthe supplementary election deserved to be celebrated. He however, called
\non all his supporters to celebrate in peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey should all go out to celebrate but they should celebrate in peace
\nand with gratitude to God because what we want is peace and tranquility,
\nharmony and good relationship with one another.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe do not have any acrimony or hatred against anybody, even those who
\ndidn\u2019t vote for us, we want them to join us in this celebration because
\nthis is democracy,\u201d he said. Muhammed also appreciated the security
\nagencies in the state promising to continue to work with them as they had
