The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cautions the All Progressives
\nCongress (APC) and its thugs procured to reenact their Kano rigging
\ntemplate in the Thursday\u2019s Governorship Supplementary election in
\nAdamawa state, to note that they will be attempting to do so at their
\nown peril.<\/p>\n

According to a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan “The PDP says it has
\nfull details of how the APC has hired thugs and miscreants from other
\nstates with instructions to cause confusion, invade polling units, disrupt
\nthe electoral process, snatch ballot boxes, engage in ballot stuffing and
\nassist the APC to allocate votes for its candidate, with the assistance of
\ncompromised INEC and security agents.<\/p>\n

Our party has also been made aware of how the APC has cloned Permanent
\nVoter Cards (PVCs), which they plan to use to manipulate the process for
\ntheir candidate.<\/p>\n

The PDP however wants APC and its thugs to bear in mind that there is no
\nway they can be allowed to repeat the evil they committed in Kano in
\nAdamawa state.<\/p>\n

Our field agents, who have been at alert, have full knowledge of the
\nplanned movements of the APC thugs and our members and supporters are
\nready to resist them and use all means, necessary and legitimate, to
\ndefend our votes, even in this supplementary election.<\/p>\n

The PDP however restates that by law, our candidate, Ahmed Fintiri, has
\nsince March 9, 2019, won the Adamawa state governorship election, having
\nscored the highest number of valid votes and secured the statutory 25%
\nin two-third of the state.\u00a0 This validates the known fact that Adamawa
\nstate is home to the PDP and this supplementary election, though
\nunnecessary, will reinforce our victory.<\/p>\n

The party therefore directs our teeming members and supporters to come
\nout en-mass to vote and defend their votes from the polling unit to
\ncollation and the final announcement of results.<\/p>\n

The PDP also charges INEC officials to note and respect the will of the
\npeople of Adamawa state and resist all inducements by the APC to
\nmanipulate the process, as such is capable of pitching the people
\nagainst the commission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
