EFCC has commenced the process of upgrading the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja
\nto be certified as the first Anti-Corruption Degree Award issuing
\nInstitution in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

The revelation was made by the Secretary to the EFCC, Olanipekun Olukoyede
\nat the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja during the flag off ceremony of a
\nfour-day training on Cyber-Crimes Investigation, as he declared open the
\nAcademy training for the year 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me reveal to you that the EFCC under the leadership of the present
\nmanagement led by Ibrahim Magu is paying attention to the training and
\ncapacity development of the staff and as such the Acting Chairman
\ninaugurated a committee to fast-track the process of receiving all
\nnecessary certifications for the EFCC Academy to start issuing
\nCertificates, Diplomas and ultimately Degree in Anti-corruption
\nInvestigation Studies,\u201d Olukoyede said.<\/p>\n

Olukoyede who further emphasized that training is an integral part of
\nevery organization, said the training on cyber-crime investigation is to
\nincrease the capacity of the investigators.<\/p>\n

The Commandant of the EFCC Academy, Karu, Abuja, Dr. David Tukura, in his
\nremark, posited that the EFCC Academy has the capacity to conduct all
\nnecessary anti-corruption training aimed at meeting the human capacity
\nneeds of the Commission.<\/p>\n

“Training facility is not just about the space or land mass occupied, but
\nthe quality of available trainers you have,” Tukura said.<\/p>\n

Tukura further emphasized that the Commission remained committed to
\nensuring that the Nigerian economic system is insulated against the
\ncriminal tendencies of cyber criminals.<\/p>\n

“That is why we catch and get the criminals punished,” he concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
