In what appears as the last major push for the actualization of the
\ndesperate bid to install his stooge as Speaker of the House of
\nRepresentatives, All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Senator
\nBola Tinubu, has successfully arranged a meeting of APC returning and
\nelected members of the House of Representatives with President Muhammadu
\nBuhari for Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Inspite that the Southwest geopolitical zone already secured the Vice
\nPresident’s position, the “zone” that came fourth by the number of votes
\nfrom geopolitical for the APC is also being pushed for “speakership” as
\nagainst the North Central geopolitical zone that came third and has never
\nproduced leadership of the House of Representatives in 20years.<\/p>\n

Tinubu wants his stooge, Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the House of
\nRepresentatives and the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, who is
\nan ally of Tinubu is at the forefront of plot to place the control of the
\nNational Assembly in his hands.<\/p>\n

Plot to secure what was described as “Baba’s endorsement” so as to shut
\nout the North Central zone that is agitating for the Speakership position
\nwas hatched in a meeting held in Tinubu’s residence last week.<\/p>\n

Already, Oshiomhole has been able to secure an appointment for the APC
\nreturning and elected members of the House of Representatives\u00a0 to have a
\n“dinner” with President Buhari on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Invitation to the dinner termed “joint NWC\/members of the House of
\nRepresentatives dinner with Mr. President” was sent out last night.<\/p>\n

It reads “The National Chairman, comrade Adams A Oshiomole has the Honour
\nand pleasure to cordially invite Members of the National Working Committee
\nand APC Returning and Elected Members of the House of Representatives to a
\ndinner with Mr. President.”<\/p>\n

According to the invitation issued on behalf of Oshiomhole by his Director
\nof Admin, Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua, the dinner will hold at Banquet Hall,
\nPresidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n

Invitees are to arrive at 7:15pm while the dinner will start at 7:30.<\/p>\n

“As it was done in the case of Senator Ahmed Lawan, Oshiomhole will just
\nannounce at the dinner that the Speakership position has been zone to the
\nSouthwest and Gbajabiamila has been chosen.<\/p>\n

“Not minding the fact that no meeting has been held by the National
\nWorking Committee (NWC) to zone National Assembly positions, Oshiomhole
\nwill make the announcement as the position of the party’s National Working
\nCommittee (NWC), giving no room for other members of the NWC to speak.<\/p>\n

“Thereafter,\u00a0 some selected returning members of the House of
\nRepresentatives will be made to speak in support of the arrangee
\nendorsement.<\/p>\n

“Even though Tinubu and Oshiomhole are not unmindful of this plot being
\nagainst the words and letters of our party’s constitution, especially
\nregarding to fair and even distribution of positions, they are hellbent in
\npushing it through because of his (Tinubu) 2023 Presidential ambition.<\/p>\n

“This same desperate ambition of Tinubu to be President cost us States
\nlike Imo, Oyo, Rivers and may cost us Zamfara State. It almost cost us
\nOgun State when Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s candidate was denied ticket and
\nwe must thread carefully so that the ambition of one man does not cost us
\nthe National Assembly leadership,” a member of the party’s NWC, who
\npreferred anonymity said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
