The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the revelation by the First<\/div>\n
\n
Lady, Aisha Buhari, that there is humongous fraud in the N500bn Social
\nInvestment Programme and the N16bn Mosquito Net Project of the Buhari
\nadministration, has further vindicated its stance that the
\nadministration is deceitful and a pretentious citadel of corruption.<\/p>\n

A statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan says “The party says Aisha
\nBuhari\u2019s revelation has further shown that the PDP has not been crying
\nwolf by insisting that President Muhammadu Buhari must account for the
\ntrillions of naira stolen under his watch in the last four years.<\/p>\n

“More disheartening is the fact that the said funds were meant for the
\nwelfare of the poor, whom Mr President had always claimed to represent
\nin government.<\/p>\n

“Unfortunately, these poor Nigerians have been waiting endlessly for
\nthe failed social investments promised by President Buhari only to
\nhave their hopes dashed as revelations by Mrs Buhari had shown that
\nthe money provided for the programme had been stolen.<\/p>\n

“The PDP holds that now that the truth has been revealed by no lesser
\nNigerian than\u00a0 Mr President\u2019s wife, the National Assembly, and all
\nanti-corruption agencies should immediately commence forensic
\ninvestigation how these funds were dispensed and utilized.<\/p>\n

“Nigerians can now see how the same administration president over by
\n‘Mr. Integrity’ has been using the names of innocent poor Nigerians to
\nloot our national treasury and fritter away billions of naira to
\nfinance their wasteful lifestyle while Nigerians wallow in abject
\npoverty.<\/p>\n

“It is indeed appalling that the Buhari administration would be
\nsitting on such colossal corruption and continues to thrive in evil
\nconcealment while diverting public attention from their rot by
\nhounding innocent opposition figures on trump-up corruption charges.<\/p>\n

“The PDP had always maintained that no matter how much deceit and
\nfalsehood appear to thrive, the truth must prevail at the end of the
\nday.<\/p>\n

“Our party, therefore, charges President Buhari to speak out on the
\nmatter and immediately commence the process of recovering the money
\nand channeling it for the benefit of the poor Nigerians.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
