The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counsels the quick-sinking All<\/div>\n
\n
Progressives Congress (APC) to face its self-inflicted woes instead of
\nseeking a face-saving measure by dragging\u00a0 the name of the PDP into its
\nshameless internal wrangling, bordering on the incompetence,
\nrecklessness and treasury looting by its leaders.<\/p>\n

A statement signed by Kola ologbondiyan said “The PDP notes that the
\nAPC, by bringing out its dirty linen to the market place, at this time,
\nhas again demonstrated its insensitivity and contempt towards the values
\nand feelings of Nigerians. How else can it justify its choice of fouling
\nthe national space at a time compatriots are observing the blessings of
\nEid el fitri?<\/p>\n

“It is most reprehensible that after pushing Nigerians into anguish and
\neconomic misery, the crisis-ridden APC will not allow our people to
\ncelebrate the end of Ramadan in peace.<\/p>\n

“It is imperative to state that the PDP, as a responsible party, will
\nnot join the APC in its shameless dance, yet, the APC must know that it
\nmust answer for its failures, depravities and unrestrained looting of
\nour national treasury in the last four years.<\/p>\n

“This is the same APC, whose National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole,
\nconfirmed as a sanctuary of looters and unpatriotic people, when he
\ndeclared that, \u201conce you join the APC, your sins are forgiven\u201d.<\/p>\n

“It has also become clear to Nigerians that the APC is fixated on the
\nPDP and has become feverish by the reinvention of the PDP to serve the
\ninterest of the people. This is in addition to the fact that majority of
\nNigerians now believe more in our party, the PDP, after seeing through
\nthe lies, deceit and failures of the APC and its government.<\/p>\n

“The APC must face the truism that having divided our people, wrecked
\nour once robust economy, returned our nation to a debtor status and
\nbrought so much misery to the extent that our compatriots now resort to
\nsuicide and slavery mission abroad as options, Nigerians cannot continue
\nto lend it any support.<\/p>\n

“The determined optimism expressed by majority of\u00a0 Nigerians for the
\nretrieval of our stolen Presidential mandate at the tribunal as well as
\nthe spontaneous jubilation across the country over the victory of the
\nPDP in state governorship elections shows that the people are eager to
\nhave the PDP back at the saddle of governance.<\/p>\n

“This is because, while in office, the PDP, as a people-oriented party,
\nremained dedicated to the wellbeing of the people.<\/p>\n

“The PDP administration salvaged our nation from a pariah status, paid
\noff our foreign debts, grew the economy to become one of the fastest
\ngrowing economies on the world map, revolutionized our aviation,
\ntelecommunication, automobile, education, agriculture, sports,
\nentertainment, health, housing, railway, power and other critical
\nsectors of our economy for the good of the people.<\/p>\n

“The PDP also strengthened our democratic institutions, created
\nanti-graft agencies, equipped our security agencies, engendered equity
\nand social justice, maintained a strict adherence to rule of law,
\nrespect for the rights of citizens and provided electoral reforms that
\nguaranteed credible elections in our country.<\/p>\n

“Nigerians are saddened that the incompetent, divisive, vindictive and
\ndeceitful APC has reversed all the gains achieved by the PDP in a space
\nof four years. If anything, the APC has only succeeded in bringing
\neconomic misery, escalated insecurity, piling foreign debts, dilapidated
\ninfrastructure and despondency in our country.<\/p>\n

“The PDP therefore counsels the APC to seek restitution for the misery
\nit has caused the nation instead of always looking for scapegoats where
\nnone exist.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
