The Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP) has hailed the
\nSupreme Court Judgement, affirming the election of Governor Gboyega
\nOyetola of the State of Osun, saying, the Alliance was happy that the
\ncountry’s apex court has restored the confidence of Osun State citizens
\nand Nigerians in the judiciary and that those who believed they could
\noutwit the electoral verdict of the people of the State of Osun were put
\nto disgrace.<\/p>\n
ACPP described the judgement as a victory for Osun people and not for
\nGovernor Gboyega Oyetola and the APC, urging him to be altruistic in
\nvictory.<\/p>\n
The Supreme Court on Friday, upheld the Appeal Court verdict that
\nGovernor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the
\nwinner of the 2018 Osun Governorship election.<\/p>\n
According to a press statement made available to newsmen by the
\nSpokesperson of the Alliance, Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde and which was signed
\nby the Chairman and Secretary of the Alliance, Alh. Rafiu Anifowose and
\nMr. Victor Olopade said that the victory “was a confirmation that was
\nalready given by God from the first day Governor Oyetola was sworn in as
\nOsun State Governor”.<\/p>\n
“We commend the Judiciary for its commitments to setting precedence that
\nwill sustain Nigeria’s democracy, we commend all Osun APC members and
\nthe people of the state for their prayers while the governorship legal
\naction lasted and we give glory to God that democratic tenets are
\nconsolidated in the state.”<\/p>\n
“The latest verdict on the 2018 governorship election in Osun state has
\nrisen up our confidence in the judiciary as the last hope of the
\nordinary citizens out there. We urge the good people of Osun State to
\nremain committed to the development of the state and trust in God for
\nbetter days ahead.” ACPP said.<\/p>\n
While congratulating Governor Gboyega Oyetola, the Alliance of
\nCollaborating Political Parties (ACPP) urged him to remain with the
\npeople of the state and never get bothered by the antics of those whose
