Unconfirmed reports said the two officials have died<\/p>\n<p>The Shi\u2019ites broke down the first gate and proceeded to the second, which serves as the main entrance to the complex.<\/p>\n<p>However, security operatives on ground repelled the protest with gunshots fired into the air to disperse the protesters.<\/p>\n<p>They are protesting the continued detention of Ibrahim Elzakzaky, their leader.<\/p>\n<p>El-Zakzaky was arrested after the Shi\u2019ites clashed with a convoy of the chief of army staff in Kaduna state in 2015.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irate members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) better known as Shi\u2019ites invaded the National Assembly complex premises on Tuesday, resulting in an exchange with security operatives.
