The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) criticizes President Muhammadu Buhari
\nfor describing the gruesome killings, bloodletting, violence and
\nwidespread kidnapping in various parts of our country as \u201cisolated\u201d
\ncases.<\/p>\n
According to a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, “the party
\ndescribes this comment as unfortunate, adding that it further exposes
\nthe incompetence of the Buhari Presidency as well as its insensitivity
\nto the pain and anguish of victims of unabating violence under this
\nadministration.<\/p>\n
“The PDP notes that such underplay of serious security situation,
\nparticularly at this time that many communities and families in Nigeria
\nare hurting and looking up to leaders for comfort and assurances, is a
\ndirect spat on the graves of the victims and assault on the sensibility
\nof compatriots.<\/p>\n
“Do President Buhari and the leaders of his party, the All Progressives
\nCongress (APC) know the excruciating pain of orphans and widows in
\nvarious parts of our nation, who daily live in anguish over the death of
\ntheir breadwinners in the hands of marauders, bandits and insurgents?<\/p>\n
“Do the President and the APC know the torment of families whose loved
\nones are languishing in kidnappers\u2019 dens; or the pain of parents whose
\npromising sons and daughters never returned, but cut in their prime by
\nkillers?<\/p>\n
“Do the President and APC leaders know the terror of travelling on our
\nroads and the torture of falling into the hands of kidnappers and
\nbandits?<\/p>\n
“It is indeed sad that while our nation is mourning, leaders sit in
\ntheir comfort and safety to make insensitive comments.<\/p>\n
“The PDP therefore charges President Buhari to immediately take decisive
\nsteps that will put an end to the killings and violence ravaging our
