The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

has arrested a Nigerian Immigration Service officer, Adebimpe Kehinde,
\nan Immigration Assistant, for his alleged involvement in passport
\nracketeering.Kehinde was arrested alongside 14 other suspected passport racketeers on
\nThursday, July 18, 2019 at the Immigration Service Passport office,
\nAlagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, following intelligence reports received by the
\nCommission leading to series of surveillance about their alleged
\ncriminal activities.<\/p>\n

The suspects are:\u00a0 Nnadika Timothy, Oyeyiga Samuel, Sunday Adekunle,
\nLola Kadoso, Adebayo Damilola, Adeola Oluwafikayomi Ajiboshin, Abubakri
\nAdebayo.<\/p>\n

Others are: Uka Precious Ifeanyi, Raph Emeka Ibuaku, Henry Onyebuchi,
\nChristy Odey, Aba-Peter Ajuma Blessing,Ogunmefun Oluwanishola and Busayo
\nBalogun.<\/p>\n

The suspects allegedly conspired to extort money from unsuspecting
\nmembers of the public applying for international passports.<\/p>\n

Items recovered from the suspects at the point of arrest include:\u00a0 Five
\nlaptops, mobile phones and several official documents.<\/p>\n

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
