The All Progressive Congress (APC), Sokoto State Chapter, on Sunday
\ncalled on the expelled APC North West Vice Chairman, Mr. Inuwa
\nAbdulkadir, to resign from all Federal Government positions he is
\ncurrently occupying.<\/p>\n
A statement signed by the party\u2019s State Chairman, Alhaji Sadiq Achida
\nand made available to newsmen in Sokoto, said Abdulkadir should follow
\nthe path of honour and resign from all such positions.<\/p>\n
Achida commended the party\u2019s National Chairman, Comrade Adam\u2019s
\nOshiomhole and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for
\nadopting resolutions of the party at Ward, State and Federal levels to
\nexpel Abdulkadir from the party.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe effort will surely assist in ensuring that we uphold the spirit of
\nfair play and justice among party members.<\/p>\n
\u201d This action will further enhance cohesion and unity at all levels of
\nthe party hierarchy.<\/p>\n
\u201d The development is also significant, because it will further
\nstrengthen rules and justice, and that one should only reap where he
\nsows\u201d Achida said.<\/p>\n
He said the expulsion of Abdulkadir was a huge relief to APC loyalists
\nin Sokoto state.<\/p>\n
Abdulkadir was expelled from the APC for anti-party activities,
\nsabotage, and disloyalty.<\/p>\n
Achida explained that the former officer failed to live up to the
\nexpectations of his exalted office and therefore deserved the action.<\/p>\n
\u201d The action of our national headquarters has also added another feather
\nof honor to the party, for having a listening leadership that carries
\nits various state chapters along in all its affairs.<\/p>\n
\u201d We want to take this opportunity to call on Abdulkadir to take this
\ndevelopment in good faith and regard it as a reward for his actions or
\ninactions.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe further request that he follow the path of honor by resigning from
\nall federal appointments which he got by virtue of his election into the
\nNWC of the party.<\/p>\n
\u201d We are convinced that his continued stay in offices such as NAFDAC
\nGoverning Board and others will be another chance for him to further
\nsabotage activities and programs of the Federal Government,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, Abdulkadir now has ample time to attend to the many
\noffices given to him by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalled that APC in Sokoto State had
\npassed a vote of no confidence in Abdulkadir.<\/p>\n
The resolution started from the APC executives of Magajin Gari \u2018A\u2019 Ward
\nin Sokoto, followed by Sokoto North Local Government, State party
\nleadership and party representatives in the State and Federal
\nlegislatures.<\/p>\n
