The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM,mni has ordered<\/div>\n
\n
massive manhunt for the killers of Rev. Father Paul Offu, a Catholic
\nPriest in charge of St. James the Greater Parish Catholic Church Ugbawka
\nin Enugu state, a statement signed by DCP Frank Mba, Force Spokesman has
\nsaid.<\/p>\n

The statement added “Consequently, crack detectives from the
\nIGP-Intelligence Response Unit (IRT), the Forensic and Homicide sections
\nof the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) have been deployed
\nto Enugu State to complement the Command in their investigations into
\nthe unfortunate incident.<\/p>\n

“In addition, the AIG in charge of Zone 9 Headquarters has been directed
\nto mobilize more units of Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel to black
\nspots in Enugu State.<\/p>\n

“In a similar vein, intensified operations have commenced for the rescue
\nof RCCG Pastors who were abducted along J3 Area of Ogbere on their way
\nto Lagos from the Eastern part of the Country.<\/p>\n

“Tactical and Operational assets of the Force have been deployed with
\nthe Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command taking the lead-role in
\nthe search and rescue operations.<\/p>\n

The IGP, while condemning the killing of the Catholic priest and the
\nabduction of the clergymen, calls for calm and assures that the
\nperpetrators will not go unpunished. He therefore enjoins the public to
\navail the Police with credible information that will assist in
\napprehending the criminals.<\/p>\n
