Abia State governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has pledged that his
\nadministration would collaborate with the state’s minister-designate,
\nDr. Uche Ogah, to attract federal projects for the benefit of the people
\nof the state.<\/p>\n

Ikpeazu who stated this in a congratulatory message to the minister-
\ndesignate, described Dr. Ogah as “a worthy and successful son of Abia
\nState with a deep passion for public service” and stated that there
\ncomes a time when primordial political considerations must give way for
\nconcerted efforts geared towards the collective good of the people.<\/p>\n

According to the Governor, “There comes a time when primordial political
\nconsiderations must give way for deliberate and concerted efforts geared
\ntowards the collective good of our people. This is such a time. As the
\nsole representative designate of the people of Abia State at the Federal
\nExecutive Council; statesmanship, good conscience and love for our
\npeople demand that we forge a strategic collaboration that will benefit
\nthe generality of the people of Abia State irrespective of political
\naffiliations.”<\/p>\n

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onyebuchi Ememanka, the
\ngovernor, also commended the three Senators from the State for ensuring
\nthat Dr. Ogah’s confirmation by the Senate was devoid of rancor from
\nhome, describing it as a clear example of the Abia Spirit of Unity.<\/p>\n

He urged Ogah to emulate the sterling performances of the two immediate
\npast federal Ministers from the State, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and Dr.
\nOkechukwu Enelamah who used their positions to drive the cause of the
\ndevelopment of Abia State.<\/p>\n

Ikpeazu said, “I am confident that whichever portfolio it pleases the
\nPresident to assign to you, you will bring to bear on the assignment,
\nyour years of experience in the corporate and business sectors of our
\neconomy. I urge you to see this opportunity as a platform to serve our
\nCountry and help bring to the front burner at the federal cabinet,
\nissues affecting Abia State, especially the state of federal
\ninfrastructure in the state.”<\/p>\n

He further assured Ogah of the prayers and support of the Abia State
\ngovernment and the people in his new assignment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
