Less than 24 hours after Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike
\nplaced a N30million bounty on notorious cultist, Bobrisky of Gokana, the
\nNigerian Army has captured him, with Governor Wike confirming that he
\nwill redeem the pledge.<\/p>\n
Speaking during a security meeting with leaders of Rumuolumeni Community
\nat the Government House Port Harcourt on Friday, Governor Wike thanked
\nthe Nigerian Army for capturing the suspected cultist.<\/p>\n
“The Army has captured Bobrisky of Gokana.\u00a0 I will pay the bounty that I
\npromised to the Nigerian Army.<\/p>\n
“Anyone\u00a0 who\u00a0 generates insecurity in Rivers State, I am ready to pay
\nany amount to ensure the arrest of that person”.<\/p>\n
Governor Wike called on community leaders\u00a0 to supply information\u00a0 to the
\nState Security council on criminals in their communities\u00a0 for the
\nsecurity agencies to act frontally\u00a0 to reduce crime.<\/p>\n
He described Rumuolumeni as one of the flashpoints in the state, where
\ncriminals use the waterway as a getaway point.\u00a0 He urged community
\nleaders to cooperate with the State Government to check the activities
\nof cult groups and insecurity\u00a0 in the area.<\/p>\n
On the issue of road construction, Governor Wike assured the people of
\nthe area that key roads in the community will be constructed by his
\nadministration.\u00a0 He said by the end of the month, contractors\u00a0 will be
\nmobilised\u00a0 to commence work on the selected road.<\/p>\n
“Key roads in the area have been primed for construction.\u00a0 I urge you
\nto have confidence\u00a0 in us that we will\u00a0 continue to develop the area “,
\nhe said.<\/p>\n
He reiterated the prescription of youth groups in the state. He said any
\nyouth body that plans to operate,\u00a0 must\u00a0 first be profiled.<\/p>\n
Also speaking, Commissioner of Police of Rivers State, Mustapha Dandaura
\nsaid almost all communities have been overrun by cultists.\u00a0 He said
\nsecurity agencies cannot watch the situation degenerate.<\/p>\n
He commended\u00a0 the Rivers State Governor for donating vehicles\u00a0 to the
\nsecurity agencies to fight crime.\u00a0 He\u00a0 assured that security agencies
\nwill\u00a0 intensify the battle against crime to achieve\u00a0 results.<\/p>\n
Spokesman of the Rumuolumeni Community, Collins Wagbara expressed
\nhappiness that Governor Wike has commenced the process of constructing
\nkey roads in the area.<\/p>\n
He lauded the Rivers State Governor for upgrading a major Secondary
\nSchool\u00a0 in the area.<\/p>\n
Wagbara assured the Rivers State Governor that the community is working
