A former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Prof. Chukwuma
\nSoludo, and a former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, are
\nexpected to deliver lectures at the League of Anambra Professionals
\n(LAP) summit.<\/p>\n
The summit is scheduled to hold on October 10\u00a0 at Golden Tulip, Agulu
\nLake, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambda state.<\/p>\n
Soludo will deliver the keynote address titled: “A First World
\nAnambra… The Future We Want,” while Dr. Ezekwesili will speak on
\n“Social Investments, Policies, Projects, and Programmes for First World
\nAnambra”.<\/p>\n
Other personalities expected at the event include a former Deputy
\nGovernor of CBN, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, who will speak on the topic:
\n“Infrastructural Imperatives for a First World Anambra.”<\/p>\n
A statement signed by the LAP summit chairman, Chike Nwegbe, and made
\navailable to newsmen in Awka, Anambra on Thursday, also indicated that
\nthe third discussant, the Dean of Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe
\nUniversity, Awka, Prof. Mischack Umenweke will talk on\u00a0 the topic:
\n“Human Rights, Law and Order and Governance in a First World Anambra
\nState.”<\/p>\n
According to him, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, is
\nexpected to be\u00a0 the Royal Father of the Day, while Chief Chidi Anyaegbu,
\nthe Chairman of Chisco Motors Limited, will be the Special Guest of
\nHonour.<\/p>\n
Others expected, are elder statesmen from the state and old Eastern
\nRegion, former governors of the state and old Eastern Region, present
\nand former national and state assembly members, captains of industries
\nand representatives of major market, youths and women associations.<\/p>\n
He noted that the event will provide an opportunity for the elected
\nrepresentatives and political leaders from the state to interact with
\ntheir constituents and render accounts to the people of the state in
\nparticular and South-east zone in general.<\/p>\n
