socio- political group, Mben Political Assembly (MPA), in Ohafia clan,
\nOhafia Local Government Area, of Abia State, has begun to woo support to
\nproduce Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s successor in 2023.<\/p>\n
The group who insisted that it is the turn of Ohafia clan to produce the
\nnext Abia governor, in 2023, appealed to other local government areas in
\nthe Abia North senatorial zone to support the project, tagged “Ohafian
\nfor Abia Governor 2023.”<\/p>\n
MPA stated that the Ohafia community had supported other clans in the
\nzone to occupy various top positions in the past and are confident that
\nthe gesture would be reciprocated in 2023.<\/p>\n
In a statement signed by its President, Dr. Eme Uche Onuh, Dr. Kalu
\nIdika Kalu;\u00a0 Prof. E. U. Imaga; Nze Uche Uche Ohafia; Prof Ezichi Ituma;
\nChief Okwara Osonwa Okwara,\u00a0 amongst others, the group disclosed that it
\nhas been reaching out to every political party and community across the
\nstate.<\/p>\n
“Based on unassailable arguments we made, notable politicians across
\nparties and communities have agreed to support us to produce the next
\nAbia State governor after Okezie Ikpeazu,”<\/p>\n
“Nde Ohafia supported our brother clans during their ventures and waited
\npatiently for their turn. Every equity-seeking Abian and all truthful
\nAbians will agree that it is time to support the Ohafia Udumeze clan to
\nproduce Abia Governor come 2023.”<\/p>\n
The group noted that block votes from Ohafia clan comprising 26
\nvillages, influences who wins elections in the state, adding that Ohafia
\nlocal government has the highest number of registered voters in the
\nstate, after Umuahia North and Obingwa councils.<\/p>\n
“As the Abia charter of equity runs through the three zones of the state
\nand alights in Abia North for the Governorship position in 2023, it’s
\ntime the exalted position was occupied by an Abian of Ohafia extraction.
\nAn Ohafia man naturally has an accommodating mien and a penchant for
\ninclusiveness, so an Abia state Governor from Ohafia will have the whole
