orchestrated media attacks on the new board of the Niger Delta
\nDevelopment Commission, sources familiar with the scheme told
\npointblanknews.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

President Mohammadu Buhari had recently sacked the Prof. Nelson
\nBriambraifa led board and swiftly replaced them with Pius Odubu as
\nChairman and Bernard Okumagba as managing Director.<\/p>\n

Irked by the replacement, Amaechi who is the godfather of most of the
\nsacked Senior management team, allegedly started mobilizing state
\nGovernors from the region to kick against the new appointment.<\/p>\n

He also allegedly mobilized some stake holders in the region to write
\nopinion articles, appear on television shows, to attack the sacking of
\nhis lackey former NDDC board.<\/p>\n

The scheme was seen as a desperate bid to cover up the allegations of
\nmassive and high-wire multi-billion naira corruption that characterized
\nthe operations of the Niger Delta Development Commission(NDDC) during
\nthe interim administration of\u00a0 the immediate past acting managing
\ndirector of the NDDC, Prof\u00a0 Nelson Braimbraifa with Chris Amadi
\n(Executive Director, Finance and Administration) and Samuel
\nAdjogbe(Executive Director, Projects).<\/p>\n

Sources told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0that Amaechi\u2019s anger stem from his
\nlosing out from the NDDC and the N30billion recently released to the
\nagency by the Federal Government which he had hoped some of his front
\ncompanies would have benefitted in the form of contract awards.<\/p>\n

High-level presidency sources confided in The New Diplomat yesterday
\nthat the presidency is currently monitoring the \u201cactions and activities
\nof a Minister from the Niger Delta region who is unhappy that he has
\nlost out in the political chess game in the Niger Delta after he failed
\nrepeatedly to deliver even a single LGA in his home State, is allegedly
\nsponsoring petitions and court cases against the newly named nominees of
\nMr. President to the NDDC Board.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miffed by this development coupled with allegations of massive looting
\nin the NDDC by the immediate past management, the Presidency it was
\ngathered, would soon commence a thorough investigations into dozens of
\npetitions against the trio of Braimbraifa, Adjogbe and Amadi.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Presidency has all dossiers of emergency contracts scams which they
\nplotted and used to siphon several billions of naira into private
\npockets. Who was awarded the dubious emergency construction contract of
\n11|33kv Injection substation and distribution of electricity within
