Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja<\/div>\n
\n
and Ilorin Zonal Offices, have arrested thirteen suspected internet
\nfraudstersin separate operations. Eight of the suspects were arrested
\nfollowing a raid on their residence located at No. 16 Isaaya Shukari
\nCrescent, Gwarinpa and C15 & A27 City of David Estate, Life Camp, Abuja.<\/p>\n

Those arrested are: Chiyiri Izuchi. Nurala Eze Kamchi, Amuka Shadrack,
\nNwegbediegwu Chekwubechukwu J, Chigbo Eze, Franklin Okafor, Ezeagwu
\nOlisaemeka and Nnamani Chukwudera.<\/p>\n

They were arrested on September 9, 2019 following action on intelligence
\nreport indicating their involvement in internet fraud.<\/p>\n

Some of the items recovered from them, include several mobile phones,
\nlaptop computers, several International Passports, a Toyota Corolla, a
\nToyota Avalon, Lexus 15 250, Mercedes 4matic C350, Mercedes C280,
\nMercedes GLA 280 and an Acura.<\/p>\n

The five other suspects arrested in Ilorin by the Commission’s Zonal
\nOffice in the Kwara State capital are, Stephen Odanye, Abolarin Kayode,
\nBabatunde Muhammad, Adepoju Tomiwa and Akinbamidele Femi.<\/p>\n

They were arrested in different locations within Ilorin Metropolis
\nfollowing intelligence reports linking them to computer-based fraud.<\/p>\n

It was discovered that the suspects use their phones and laptop
\ncomputers to communicate with their victims who are majorly foreigners
\nin order to defraud them of their monies.<\/p>\n

Investigation has revealed that the suspects received monies, in several
\nforeign currencies, deposited into their accounts by their victims.<\/p>\n

Items recovered from them include, phones, cars and documents containing
\nfalse information.<\/p>\n

The suspects will soon be charged to court.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
