{"id":70152,"date":"2019-10-28T22:29:45","date_gmt":"2019-10-28T21:29:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=70152"},"modified":"2019-10-28T22:29:45","modified_gmt":"2019-10-28T21:29:45","slug":"gtbank-removes-all-bank-charges-for-young-undergraduates-on-its-gtcrea8-account-product","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/gtbank-removes-all-bank-charges-for-young-undergraduates-on-its-gtcrea8-account-product\/","title":{"rendered":"GTBank removes all Bank Charges for Young Undergraduates on its GTCRea8 Account Product"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m-7228414215431439479\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">If you are an undergraduate, between the ages of 16-25, then you can now<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">bank for free with Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank).<\/p>\n<p>The leading, youth-focused, financial institution has announced that it<br \/>\nwill cover all charges on transfers, USSD transactions and bank alerts<br \/>\nfor holders of its GTCrea8 Account, a bespoke banking product for young<br \/>\nundergraduates between the ages of 16-25.<\/p>\n<p>GTCRea8 has been a core part of the GTBank\u2019s value proposition to<br \/>\ndeliver value adding banking services to young people whilst empowering<br \/>\nthem to pursue excellence in their academics and respective interests.<br \/>\nOver the years, tens of thousands of university undergraduates have<br \/>\nbenefited from GTCrea8 concerts, masterclasses, digital trainings,<br \/>\nEducation Support Grants, and several other initiatives championed by<br \/>\nthe bank to ensure students have a more rewarding campus experience.<br \/>\nNow, millions of students across the country will be able to bank for<br \/>\nfree following the Bank\u2019s commitment to cover the cost of all banking<br \/>\ncharges for GTCrea8 account holders.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the bank charges that GTCrea8 account holders will no longer<br \/>\nhave to pay include charges on bank transfers, even when the transfer is<br \/>\nto other banks. Undergraduates will also not be charged for using 737,<br \/>\nthe bank\u2019s industry-leading USSD service, nor will students be charged<br \/>\nfor transaction alerts received whether via SMS or email. GTCrea8<br \/>\naccount holders will also enjoy special offers and discounts when they<br \/>\nmake use of GTBank\u2019s trendsetting digital platforms, such as Habari,<br \/>\nwhich offers access to music and video streaming, shopping, messaging,<br \/>\nand bills payment all in one place.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the Bank\u2019s removal of bank charges for young<br \/>\nundergraduates, the Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank,<br \/>\nSegun Agbaje said, \u201cEmpowering young people in every way we can is the<br \/>\nmost valuable investment that we can make for the future. That is why we<br \/>\nhave taken this bold step to cover the cost of all their banking<br \/>\ncharges, not just to allow them to bank for free, but also to inspire<br \/>\nthem to imagine a world free of all limits to their ambitions, and in<br \/>\nwhich they can achieve their greatest dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He further stated that \u201cAt GTBank, we will continue to find innovative<br \/>\nways and create new initiatives to give young people all the motivation,<br \/>\nsupport and platform that they need to thrive.
