{"id":70217,"date":"2019-10-31T19:55:20","date_gmt":"2019-10-31T18:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=70217"},"modified":"2019-10-31T19:55:20","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T18:55:20","slug":"n4bn-alleged-scam-efcc-assures-bluekey-investors-of-diligent-investigations-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/n4bn-alleged-scam-efcc-assures-bluekey-investors-of-diligent-investigations-2\/","title":{"rendered":"N4Bn Alleged Scam:\u00a0 \u00a0EFCC Assures Bluekey Investors of Diligent Investigations"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m-8408027848252705822\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<p>The Port Harcour Zonal office of the Economic And Financial Crimes<br \/>\nCommission,\u00a0 EFCC, has assured scores of investors of Bluekey Investment<br \/>\nClub across the Niger Delta of diligent investigations.<\/p>\n<p>The assurance was made on Thursday, October 31,\u00a0 2019 in Port Harcourt,<br \/>\nRivers State by the Head,\u00a0 Cyber Crime Section of the Port Harcourt&#8217;s<br \/>\nZonal Office of the EFCC,\u00a0 Mr. Allison James, while addressing some<br \/>\nprotesters that besieged the Zonal Office seeking the refund of their<br \/>\ninvestments in the company.\u00a0 According to him, the EFCC is not holding<br \/>\nBluekey&#8217;s depositors funds but would ensure that thorough investigations<br \/>\nare done into the activities of the company.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We started the investigations of Bluekey Investment Club because we<br \/>\nbelieve\u00a0 that its\u00a0 activities were questionable . We stepped in to<br \/>\nprotect investors&#8217; interests. Your money is not in the custody of EFCC.<br \/>\nThere are more than 4000 investors and people have invested N4billion.<br \/>\nThere are so many variables involved but we would ensure that diligent<br \/>\ninvestigations are done&#8221;, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The protesters converged at the entrance of the Zonal office and carried<br \/>\nplacards bearing inscriptions like:\u00a0 &#8220;Suanu,\u00a0 Bluekey Refund Our Money&#8221;;<br \/>\n&#8221; EFCC, Save Us From Bluekey&#8221;;\u00a0 \u00a0 &#8220;Refund Investors,\u00a0 We Are Crying Out<br \/>\nFor Help&#8221;,\u00a0 &#8221; Save Innocent Investors From Accruing Debts, Bluekey!&#8221;.<br \/>\nOne of the protesters, Leo Ativie, appealed to the EFCC to refund<br \/>\ninvestors money locked in Bluekey&#8217;s accounts, stressing that the<br \/>\ninvestors are &#8221; innocent Nigerians&#8221;. Another protester, Stephen Okojie,<br \/>\nsaid that the money invested in the company were borrowed funds.<\/p>\n<p>19 staff of Bluekey Investment Club were on August 30, 2019 arrested in<br \/>\nPort Harcourt.\u00a0 The\u00a0 company, operating from Sonia Mall, 42 Woji Road,<br \/>\nYKC Junction, Port Harcourt,\u00a0 was registered with the Corporate Affairs<br \/>\nCommission( CAC) as a Software Development and General Contracting Firm,<br \/>\nbut allegedly\u00a0 veered into an interest-yielding\u00a0 Ponzi Scheme with\u00a0 ten<br \/>\npercent (10%) weekly returns on investment over (6) Months.\u00a0 The Scheme<br \/>\nalso promised total returns of invested capital after six (6) Months.<br \/>\nInvestigations showed that 4000 investors pooled their money in the<br \/>\ncompany with a total investment of N4billion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"conversation-footer\" class=\"spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Port Harcour Zonal office of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission,\u00a0 EFCC, has assured scores of investors of Bluekey Investment Club across the Niger Delta of diligent investigations.
