The attention of the publisher and management of Pointblanknews.com<\/a> has been drawn to insinuations and rumors over a purported \u201csettlement\u201d by the Presidential Amnesty Program.<\/div>\n

We wish to state categorically that no \u201csettlement or payments\u201d have been made, received or would be received for the sole purpose of laundering the image of the Presidential Amnesty Program and its leadership or discontinuing the series of investigative reports of systematic looting at the Presidential Amnesty Program.<\/div>\n

The rumors and insinuations are at best a futile attempt to blackmail the owners and management of Pointblanknews.com<\/a><\/div>\n

In the last two years, Pointblanknews.com<\/a>, using its sources and contacts, have published reports of scandalous looting of the Presidential Amnesty Program with facts and documents. The publications led to the sacking of Brigadier General Isaac Boroh as the Coordinator of the Amnesty Program and the subsequent appointment of Prof. Charles Dokubo.<\/div>\n

Since the emergence of Dokubo, Pointblanknews.com<\/a> has continued to monitor and report the unabated scandalous looting of that agency. Several attempts have been made to \u201creach out\u201d to the management of Pointblanknews.com<\/a>. We have received death threats, requests for meetings and \u201csettlements\u201d. In all. We have remained steadfast and unwavering in our quest to defeat corruption wherever found.<\/div>\n

In the last few weeks, we have been inundated with calls from our readers and supporters who are worried over claims that \u201cPointblanknews.com<\/a> has been bought over\u201d by elements at the presidential Amnesty Program.<\/div>\n

This is to assure our readers and supporters that Pointblanknews.com<\/a> is not for sale, would never be for sale and it would continue to pursue Journalism of courage where corruption in high and low places are exposed, where rule of law and best practices of Governance are hallmark. We will never be cowed or intimidated in this task.
