\u2026Charges APC To Respond To Barlow’s Allegations<\/p>\n

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alerted that the fizzling All
\nProgressives Congress (APC) is responsible for the escalated violence,
\ninsurgent attack, bloodletting and worsened insecurity in our nation.<\/p>\n

According to a statement signed by Kola ologbondiyan “The PDP says the
\nAPC has been feeding fat and servicing its interests from the pains and
\nanguish of suffering Nigerians who daily face the agony of economic
\nrepression, death, and violent attacks.<\/p>\n

“The party also alerts Nigerians to be wary of APC\u2019s renewed attacks and
\nbaseless allegations against the PDP and our leaders, including former
\nVice President Atiku Abubakar, all in the failed bid to divert public
\nattention from its atrocities against our country, including
\ncompromising our security architecture for selfish purposes.<\/p>\n

“The PDP challenges the APC to respond to the reported allegation that
\nits administration terminated the nation’s counter-insurgency operations
\nto satisfy foreign interests, leading to escalated violent attacks and
\nbloodletting in various parts of the country, particularly in the north.<\/p>\n

“The APC should explain the assertion by international security expert,
\nEeben Barlow, who reportedly on international television, Aljazeera,
\ntold the world that our nation was successfully routing insurgents in
\nthe Northeast before the APC and its administration terminated the
\ncounter-insurgency operation to satisfy an alleged American interest
\nthat assisted it to manipulate its way to power.<\/p>\n

“It is instructive to note that the APC had engaged an unwarranted
\nattack on the PDP and Atiku Abubakar as well as sponsoring negative
\ndivisive publications in the last few days in the bid to divert public
\nattention from this very grave issue.<\/p>\n

“Nigerians can now see why insurgents, marauders, and bandits, who had
\nbeen pushed to the fringes under the PDP administration suddenly
\nresurged in the renewed ravaging of communities and killing our
\ncompatriots unabated, while the\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0APC and its administration engage in
\nlip service and empty condolence messages.<\/p>\n

“Nigerians are aware of how the APC imported political mercenaries,
\nthugs and miscreants from neighboring countries including the Niger
\nRepublic and used them to unleash violence on Nigerians during the 2019
\nPresidential elections.<\/p>\n

“The APC has failed to account for these miscreants, most of who are now
\nunleashing violence as kidnappers, armed robbers, and marauders,
\npillaging our communities without restraint under the APC.<\/p>\n

“It is important to observe that the APC had failed to apologize or join
\nother well-meaning Nigerians in forcefully demanding for the arrest and
\nprosecution of perpetrators of the mass killings in Benue, Borno,
\nPlateau, Taraba, Kogi, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Yobe, Adamawa,
\nEkiti, Ebonyi, Abia, Nasarawa, Niger and other parts of the country,
\nunder its watch.<\/p>\n

“Only recently, Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki accused the APC
\nNational Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, of always relying on thugs for
\nelections and Nigerians know the devastation thuggery and its associated
\nviolence had caused the nation in the last five years of the APC.<\/p>\n

“Moreover, instead of clinging on straws by attacking the PDP and Atiku
\nAbubakar, the APC should account for or demand investigation and
\nprosecution of its leaders responsible for the looting of over N14
\ntrillion from federal coffers, including the stolen N9 trillion exposed
\nby the leaked NNPC memo on oil subsidy theft.<\/p>\n

“The APC should also account for the N1.1 trillion worth of crude
\nsiphoned by its leaders using 18 unregistered vessels, the stealing of
\nover N48 billion meant for the rehabilitation of victims of insurgency.<\/p>\n

“It should account for the N33bn National Emergency Management Agency
\n(NEMA) saga in which a very top member of President Muhammadu Buhari
\nadministration was mentioned as well as the looting spree in National
\nHealth Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service
\n(FIRS)under its watch, after which it should head for the dustbin of
\nhistory where it now belongs.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
