Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has emphasized the need for<\/div>\n
\n
the Executive arm of government to work in synergy with other arms of
\ngovernment so as to fast track the development of the state.<\/p>\n

Bello stated this when he received members of the Niger State House of
\nAssembly who paid him a congratulatory visit following Wednesday’s
\nSupreme Court verdict that affirmed his victory at the 2019 poll.<\/p>\n

The governor says the affirmation of his victory by the Supreme Court
\nwill enable his administration to focus more on the administrative
\nactivities,\u00a0 promising to work with all arms of government.<\/p>\n

“We have a lot to do and we are working closely with State Assembly to
\nchange the narratives and strategies with a view to seeing that in the
\nnext two years we achieve a lot in terms of development and capacity
\nbuilding.<\/p>\n

“I believe we have a good team in the State Assembly and at the Local
\nGovernment level and I believe working together will bring about
\nrelative development in the state, he said”<\/p>\n

According to him, “we have so many projects ongoing, most of which
\nstarted from the last tenure. This is time to consolidate and ensure we
\ncomplete most of them”, he added.<\/p>\n

In the area of security, Governor Sani Bello assured that focus will be
\nmore on combatting the challenges faced in the local government areas as
\nthe State government has been working tirelessly to ensure adequate
\nsecurity is provided for the people.
\n“The local government will focus more on security especially in Rafi,
\nMunya, Shiroro, Paikoro, Rijau and Mariga, those are the areas we are
\nhaving challenges with bandits”, he said.<\/p>\n

He said the state government is working in conjunction with the local
\ngovernment councils to ensure that they provide security for them.<\/p>\n

“I hope in the next coming weeks we will see reasonable improvement when
\nit comes to security”, he added.<\/p>\n

Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, however, described his
\nlandmark victory at the Supreme Court as the will of God and
\nreaffirmation of the people’s mandate.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly, Barrister Abdullahi
\nBawa who led the members of the State House of Assembly to the
\nGovernment House said the aim of their visit was to congratulate the
\nGovernor on the affirmation of his victory at the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

The Speaker expressed the legislators’ determination to work with the
\nexecutive arm of government in order to bring about meaningful
\ndevelopment in the State.<\/p>\n

He described the Supreme Court verdict as well deserved,\u00a0 \u00a0saying it
\nwill further strengthen the existing cordial working relationship
\nbetween the executive and the legislature.<\/p>\n

Prayer was offered by the members for the more wisdom for the Governor
\nto pilot
\nthe affairs of the State to a greater height.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
