{"id":71822,"date":"2020-02-17T15:47:15","date_gmt":"2020-02-17T14:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=71822"},"modified":"2020-02-17T15:47:15","modified_gmt":"2020-02-17T14:47:15","slug":"oshiomhole-must-go-protests-rock-apc-headquarters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/oshiomhole-must-go-protests-rock-apc-headquarters\/","title":{"rendered":"Oshiomhole-Must-Go Protests Rock APC Headquarters\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Protesters Monday stormed the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, demanding the removal of Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the party.<\/p>\n<p>The demonstrators said his continued stay in office would bring misfortune to the\u00a0 party, adding that his action led to a reduction in the number of the states controlled by APC\u00a0 from 24 to 18.<\/p>\n<p>Genesis Johnson, a spokesman of the protesters, said they were disappointed with the leadership style of Oshiomhole.<\/p>\n<p>He accused\u00a0 Oshiomhole of impunity, saying his poor handling of issues led to the supreme court nullification of the party\u2019s victory in Bayelsa state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at what happened in Bayelsa state, it was caused by Oshiomhole and we say enough is enough .. We want him to park his load and leave that office. He is not the only Nigerian that can manage that office,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince he came into this office, he has been creating problems for this party. We suffered to win election and at the end of the day opposition members go to court to take over the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not happy with his conduct and we the party faithful we ask him to go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The protesters vowed to sustain the protest with the view to\u00a0seeing that the national chairman gave way for the party to move forward.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson spoke hours after Babachir Lawal, former secretary to the government of the federation, accused Oshiomhole of plunging APC into needless crisis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Protesters Monday stormed the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, demanding the removal of Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the party.
