Members of All Progressives Congress (APC) youth wing in Bayelsa State have cobdemned the continued assault on the Justices of the Supreme Court\u00a0 over the February 14, 2020 judgement that sacked APC governor-,elect, David Lyon and his deputy, Senator Biobarakumo Degi for supplying false information.<\/div>\n

\nSuspected thugs on Tuesday morning taken over the Abuja home of the lead judge, Justice Mary Odili, calling her unprintable names for heading the panel which nullified APC’s governorship victory in Bayelsa State.<\/p>\n

Speaking Tuesday in Abuja, the APC youths under the aegis of
\nBayelsa APC Youth Vanguard for Real Change asked the party leadership to blame itself for foisting candidates with forged credentials on Bayelsa APC.<\/p>\n

Spokesman of the group, Comrade Johnson Dume said that the APC leadership under Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, rather than grandstand,\u00a0 should apologize to her teeming supporters for the monumental embarrassment the nomination caused them<\/p>\n

“Why blame Justice Mary Odili? What is her role in our parry screening and\u00a0 primaries? Is she the one who asked us to field a candidate with fake certificates? We should be careful not to worsen an already bad situation. People are beginning to see APC as a party that lacks die process, and of fraudsters”,\u00a0 noted Dume.<\/p>\n

He continued, ” It was the same Justice Mary Odili who they now malign that gave judgement on February 13th to affirm the candidacy of Lyon and Degi. The sudden about turn projects us as sore losers”.<\/p>\n

The youth leader asked APC faithful to also hold responsible the Minister of State for Petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva for the party’s loss at the court as, according to him, “we have oy on good authority that Sylva knew about Degi’s forged documents but yet went ahead to field him so that APC might lose.”<\/p>\n

Recall that the Supreme Court had on February 15, 2020 nullified the election of Lyon and his running mate, Degi, on the ground that the latter forged his school certificates. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Duoye Diri has since been sworn in as governor.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
