{"id":72627,"date":"2020-04-01T14:21:30","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T13:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=72627"},"modified":"2020-04-01T14:21:30","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T13:21:30","slug":"covid-19-senator-ubah-raises-n200mas-ekwunife-outreach-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/covid-19-senator-ubah-raises-n200mas-ekwunife-outreach-continues\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID 19: Senator Ubah raises N200m\u2026as Ekwunife outreach continues"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1662775454590056550\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\nSenators Ifeanyi Ubah and Uche Ekwunife representing Anambra South and Central have commenced humanitarian activities in their respective zones in a bid to check the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Already Ubah has raised the sum of N75m out of the the targeted N200m for the establishment of 3 centres for checking and treatment of persons infected by the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Ubah who spoke yesterday said the fund raising is targeted at N200m adding that the centres that are currently being established is part of his contributions to the fight against the COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the sum would also be used to take care of the basic needs of the poor in the society and also provide medical assistance to the people of Anambra state.<\/p>\n<p>Also, interacting with newsmen in Awka the Special Assistant to Senator Uche Ekwunife on Media Mr Kingsley Ubani noted that the outreach embarked upon by the Senator is yielding positive results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, her team visited more communities within the Senatorial District to sensitize constituents on the Covid-19 pandemic, and distribute relief and preventive materials to the people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recall that the team led by the Legislative Assistant to Senator Uche Ekwunife, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko had commenced the Covid-19 outreach programme on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is targeted at creating awareness about the virus, and bringing succour to constituents.
