{"id":72685,"date":"2020-04-05T20:46:50","date_gmt":"2020-04-05T19:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=72685"},"modified":"2020-04-05T20:46:50","modified_gmt":"2020-04-05T19:46:50","slug":"prudential-zenith-life-insurance-unveils-additional-benefits-for-customers-affected-by-covid-19-pandemic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/prudential-zenith-life-insurance-unveils-additional-benefits-for-customers-affected-by-covid-19-pandemic\/","title":{"rendered":"Prudential Zenith Life Insurance Unveils Additional Benefits for\u00a0Customers\u00a0Affected by COVID-19 Pandemic"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1663161407212645151\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">Following the launch of its Coronavirus (COVID) initiative, Prudent<wbr \/>ial Zenith Life Insurance has announced some\u00a0additional benefits designed to address the negative impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has claimed thousands of lives globally.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement released by the company,\u00a0the benefits which\u00a0apply\u00a0for a period of 45 days \u2013 from April 3rd\u00a0to May 18th2020 \u2013 will ensure that\u00a0customers who have purchased or who intend to purchase any of the following Prudential Zenith Life products: My Family Protection Plan, My Family Protection Plan Premier, My School Fees Protection plan, PZL Term Assurance, PZL Hospital Plan\u00a0and\u00a0My Savings Plan-Premier will enjoy a\u00a0\u2018Diagnosis Benefit\u2019, which entitles the insured\u00a0who has been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus\u00a0by the State\u00a0to a cash amount of thirty-eight thousand\u00a0and a\u00a0\u2018Treatment Benefit\u2019of nine thousand daily for a maximum period of 25 days to cater for losses or incidental expenses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The statement further noted that\u00a0the\u00a0company has\u00a0reduced the normal waiting period from 6 months to 14 days for these benefits to apply\u00a0to any new customer, while for existing customers, these additional benefits apply immediately.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Also,\u00a0for\u00a0any\u00a0customer\u00a0who has bought a policy from the company\u00a0and who is diagnosed with COVID-19 or who is formally retrenched as a result of a business having to close due to the COVID-19\u00a0pandemic, it will\u00a0provide a three-month premium holiday. This means that the policy will not lapse and the\u00a0customer will still enjoy the protection benefits of their policy even if they are unable to pay their regular premiums during this period.\u00a0This is in addition to any \u2018Death Benefits\u2019that are payable when due, as the company does not exclude death caused by COVID-19 under any of its policies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To avoid any ambiguity, the company stated that\u00a0it is important to note there are policy exclusions to this offering\u00a0as listed below:<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0are not liable to pay claims if:<\/p>\n<div>1.\u00a0Treatment is for any reason other than the contraction of the COVID-19 virus.<\/div>\n<div>2.\u00a0On or after the start of the policy, the Covered Person travelled to any country or area included in the list of \u201ccountries\/ areas with active community transmission of COVID-19\u201d as announced by the Nigerian Ministry of Health or World Health Organisation at the time of his\/her travel.<\/div>\n<div>3.\u00a0The covered person is in self-isolation or hospitalised but has not been officially diagnosed and hospitalised by the State.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following shall apply to new clients only:<\/p>\n<div>a.\u00a0The Covered Person(s) has already officially been diagnosed with or already has signs or symptoms of COVID-19 at the time of signing on to the Plan<\/div>\n<div>b.\u00a0The Covered Person(s) was under mandatory self-isolation in the past 14 days from the time of registration due to close contact with an infected person or having demonstrated COVID-19 symptoms.<\/div>\n<p>Other Important Points to Note<\/p>\n<div>a.\u00a0The benefits\u00a0will be provided for all clients that qualify with active policies.<\/div>\n<div>b.\u00a0Benefit are also available to ALL of our customers who\u2019s employer has taken out a\u00a0Critical Illness policywith Prudential Zenith Life\u201d to \u201cGroup Life policy with Critical Illness rider<\/div>\n<div>c.\u00a0A claim can only be made once in respect of each Insured Life.<\/div>\n<div>d.\u00a0Covered Lives refers to all lives covered under the policyholder\u2019s active existing insurance policy (ies)\u00a0and includes all named individuals covered under a Group Critical Illness policy taken out by an employer of those individuals.<\/div>\n<div>e.\u00a0An Active Policy is a Prudential Zenith Policy which has not lapsed, been cancelled or terminated and on which premiums are received as stipulated in the contract of that policy.<\/div>\n<div>f.\u00a0All\u00a0claim\u00a0substantiating documents, should\u00a0be duly stamped and signed by the issuing authority.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the launch of its Coronavirus (COVID) initiative, Prudential Zenith Life Insurance has announced some\u00a0additional benefits designed to address the negative impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, which has claimed&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":12093,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-72685","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
