The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, allegedly awarded a contract for the expansion of its parking lot to Bulet International Limited, a company owned by Ismaila Isa Funtua, an ally of President Mohammadu Buhari at a whopping N30billion in 2019.<\/div>\n

Sources told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0that the contract which violated all known procurement Act, was secretly awarded to Bulet International without the knowledge of the late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

While sources at the apex bank are not sure if the full amount have been paid to the contractor, they said the contractor has only started minimal work on site.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to our sources, when some CBN officials hinted late Kyari about the curious scandalous contract award, the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was immediately summoned to the Presidency by Kyari.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com sources who wish to remain anonymous, hinted that Emefiele confirmed to the late Chief of Staff that indeed the contract was awarded. He explained, according to the source, that Bulet International won the bid for the contract.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Although several CBN contractors spoken to said they were not aware of a tender and the process that led to the award of the car park extension contract. Some said even if there was such, it may have been made exclusively for Bulet International.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bulet International limited is owned by Ismaila Isa Funtua. Funtua is a top-level member of the Buhari cabal who ensured that Emefiele got his confirmation for a second term as CBN Governor.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sources say Funtua controls the forex policy of the CBN and gets whatever amount of any currency he wants. He also tells Emefiele who to give and it\u2019s done.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Majority of the Bureau de Change operators in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, housing one of the largest BDCs in Nigeria said, \u201cIf you want dollars at lowest exchange rate, call Funtua.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, a man who preferred to be identified as \u2018Alhaji\u2019 told Daily Mail, \u201cBaba Funtua is Mr CBN dollars,\u201d laughing sheepishly.<\/p>\n

Keystone Bank and 9Mobile were acquired in controversial circumstances by Funtua, via the instrumentality of Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

AMCON is headed by Ahmed Kuru, Funtua\u2019s son in-law.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Prior to the emergence of President Mohammadu Buhari, Bulet was almost going bankrupt. In fact, in 2014, the construction company was dragged to court following its non-payment of a loan amounting to nearly N7bn owed Unity Bank Plc.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bulet International responded by instituting a N100 billion libel suit against Unity Bank Plc, claiming that while parties were awaiting a court ruling on the matter, the bank proceeded to publish public notices and articles in numerous newspapers as well as on its Internet outlets specifically addressed to the CBN, containing list of its alleged debtors.<\/p>\n

Spokesman of the CBN, Isaac Okoroafor, could not be reached for comment. The phone number listed for Bulet International was also not reachable<\/p>\n
