The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, the Most Rev Ignatius Kaigama and the<\/div>\n
\n
Prelate, Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Samuel Uche have
\ncommiserated with President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of his Chief
\nof Staff, Abba Kyari.<\/p>\n

In a letter of condolence,\u00a0 \u00a0on behalf of the priests and all the
\nfaithful of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, to the President,
\nArchbishop Kaigama extended heartfelt condolences to the families and
\nrelations of many Nigerians who have lost their lives to the coronavirus
\npandemic<\/p>\n

The cleric encouraged President Buhari to ”stand strong in faith in
\nthese trying times and continue to work resolutely” with his team
\nwithin the resources and possibilities available.<\/p>\n

Pledging the support of the Catholic Church to the fight to curb the
\nspread of the virus, Archbishop Kaigama prayed ”that Nigeria and
\nNigerians will pass through this difficult time with sobriety and
\nequanimity and come of out with a greater and genuine sense of love for
\nGod and neighbour.”<\/p>\n

On his part, the Methodist Prelate prayed God to console the President
\nand family of the deceased.<\/p>\n

The President also received separate messages of condolence from Chief
\nBisi Akande, pioneer National Chairman of All Progressives Congress
\n(APC), Alhaji Bashir Tofa, presidential candidate in the June 12, 1993
\nelection, Senator Adolphus Wabara, former President of the Senate, the
\nPresident, Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Gumel, and the Soun of
\nOgbomosholand, Oba Oladunni Ajagungbade\u00a0 III.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
