Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has tested negative for
\nCoronavirus.<\/p>\n
The governor, who had tested positive for the virus on Saturday, March
\n28, 2020, on Wednesday in a statement said that he was now free of the
\nvirus.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cIn the evening of Saturday, 28 March, 2020, I was notified
\nthat I had tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n
\u201cI immediately made a public disclosure of this sad news and proceeded
\ninto isolation under the strict supervision of our healthcare
\nprofessionals.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am delighted to report today that after nearly four weeks of
\nobserving a strict medical regime, I have now received the all-clear
\nafter two consecutive negative test results.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank Almighty Allah for His grace and mercy. I also acknowledge with
\ngratitude the massive outpouring of sympathy, prayers and public support
\nthat followed the disclosure of the infection.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy family not only went through the trauma of potentially losing a
\nmember, but also the risk of being infected as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe entire family has been supportive as usual, while my many friends
\nand colleagues from all over the world have sent their prayers and best
\nwishes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish to thank the diligent medical personnel of our Ministry of
\nHealth and the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital who managed my case for
\ntheir dedicated and professional care.\u201d<\/p>\n
