{"id":73968,"date":"2020-06-05T19:16:26","date_gmt":"2020-06-05T18:16:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=73968"},"modified":"2020-06-05T19:16:26","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T18:16:26","slug":"nnpc-expresses-commitment-to-biodiversity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/nnpc-expresses-commitment-to-biodiversity\/","title":{"rendered":"NNPC Expresses Commitment to Biodiversity"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m1551728443399290879\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\u2026 As Corporation Marks World Environment Day<\/p>\n<p>The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has expressed its determination to adhere to sustainable environment practices in all its operations to safeguard biodiversity in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Mallam Mele Kyari, made this known Friday in Abuja in his keynote address as part of activities to commemorate the 2020 World Environment Day celebration with the theme \u2018Biodiversity\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Mallam Kyari said that the corporation would continue to be guided by sound environmental policies and standards so that the NNPC does not harm the environment and the communities of creatures within its sphere of operations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNNPC\u2019s firm position on sustainable environmental practice is today reignited by the theme of the 2020 World Environment Day, which seeks to raise further awareness on conservation of Biodiversity.
