Sabiu Yusuf, the Special Assistant and Private Secretary to President<\/div>\n

Mohammadu Buhari, and Senior Special Assistant, Domestic, Sarki Abba,
\nhave been linked with N17 billion Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN,
\nbuilding scandal.Sources told Pointblanknews.com that some members of the cabal had
\npushed for the TCN to acquire a new head office.
\nSabiu \u2018Tunde\u2019 had then directed some officials of the TCN to commence
\nthe process of acquiring the building.In July 2019, a nine-member committee in the Ministry of Power, Works
\nand Housing, was set up before the Ministries were split, to inspect
\nproperties and make recommendations for a property to be purchased,
\naccording to a memo signed by Louis O.N Edozien, Permanent Secretary.<\/p>\n

The two Buhari\u2019s Aides allegedly recommended The Plaza, a six-floor
\nbuilding owned by Solutions Plaza Limited.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com gathered that Buhari\u2019s PA and the Senior Special
\nAssistant, Domestic, and others in the Ministry of Power, inflated the
\nquote for the Plaza. The quote was said to have been rejected by the
\nCommittee who had valued the building.<\/p>\n

Sources told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0that the former Managing Director of the
\nTCN, Usman Gur Mohammed, who had vehemently rejected the planned
\npurchase of the new Headquarters for the TCN, warned officials of the
\nPower, Works, Housing Ministry of the consequences of approving the
\npurchase of The Plaza at the inflated figure.<\/p>\n

Soon after, Mohammed ran into troubles with Sabiu \u2018Tunde\u2019 and he was
\nfired from TCN.<\/p>\n

Sabiu \u2018Tunde\u2019 and Sarki Abba immediately commenced another push for a
\nTCN headquarters but this time settled for Gilmo Building in Abuja.<\/p>\n

The Gilmo Building, according to sources, is smaller than that of The
\nPlaza in size. The Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, is said to have
\nissued approval for the purchase of the Gilmo Building at an inflated
\nprice of N17billion.<\/p>\n

The current market value of The Gilmo building, according to sources
\nfamiliar with it, should not be more than N10billion.
\nA source in the Presidency told Pointblanknews.com that Sabiu \u2018Tunde\u2019,
\nSarki Abba, and few others would share the excess of the building
\npurchase once the deal is completed and paid for by the Government.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis building is being pushed by Abba Sarki, Senior Special Assistant
\nto the President (Domestic) and Sabiu \u2018Tunde\u2019 Yusuf for Transmission
\nCompany of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccordingly, the building will be paid by the Federal Government, so
\nthe TCN were not directly involved. The Ministry of Works and Housing
\ndid not give the approval to the request by Ministry of Power.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor TCN, they are comfortable where they are and the current building
\nwas built by PHCN\/TCN superannuation fund. But the ministry is claiming
\nthe building was given to them by former President, Goodluck Jonathan\u2019s
\ngovernment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Minister of Power now wants to buy Gilmo building, which was a
\nsmall building that cannot accommodate TCN\u2019s staff at a highly inflated
\nprice of about N14bn to N17bn which would go to Sabiu \u2018Tunde\u2019 Yusuf and
\nAbba Sarki,\u201d a Presidency source told Pointblanknews.com<\/p>\n
