The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the All Progressives Congress
\n(APC) is Nigeria\u2019s major problem, noting that the ruling party has
\nproven to be nothing but a despotic platform; a soulless mob and
\npolitical virus that has no interest in the wellbeing of Nigerians.<\/p>\n
In a statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, “The PDP berated the APC
\nleadership over its unwarranted tirade against River state Governor
\nNyesom Wike\u2019s unflawed comments on the overbearing conduct of APC
\nleadership, particularly in trying to impose itself on the people of Edo
\nstate.<\/p>\n
“The PDP however notes that the outburst by the vindictive APC
\nleadership, under Adams Oshiomhole, does not reflect the views and
\nopinions of majority of APC governors and democratically-minded leaders
\nin the APC, who are completely averse to the unbridled impunity being
\nexhibited by the national leadership of the party.<\/p>\n
“Our party invites Nigerians to note that such impunity, arrogance,
\negoism, recklessness, and disdain for rules and order, which are
\nsymptomatic of crass incompetence and cluelessness, are at the root of
\nthe problems, which the APC, under the leadership of Adams Oshiomhole,
\nhas brought upon our nation.<\/p>\n
“It is on record that the contemporary political, security and economic
\nsituation in our country has never been as bad as being experienced
\nunder the current APC leadership, which has brought nothing but
\nconfusion, acrimony, failures, and impunity, within the ruling party and
\nits government, leading to the perilous situations in our nation today.<\/p>\n
“Our party stressed that Governor Wike\u2019s position reflects that of most
\nAPC members, particularly in Edo State.\u00a0 Sadly, the Oshiomhole-led
\nleadership has become so irredeemable in its arrogance that it cannot
\nrealize that it is standing alone, particularly, on all issues related
\nto the Edo state governorship election.<\/p>\n
“The majority of Nigerians are aware of how Governor Wike and other PDP
\nleaders across the board, have been resisting the relentless ploy by the
\nAPC leadership to destroy our democracy, subjugate our citizens and
\nappropriate their wishes and aspiration, especially during elections.<\/p>\n
“It is therefore not surprising that the APC leadership, having been
\nexposed, would resort to hauling of invectives and tirades on Governor
\nWike and other democratically minded Nigerians.<\/p>\n
“Our party sternly cautions that it would not accept any such venting of
\nfrustration by the APC on any of our governors or members.<\/p>\n
“The PDP holds that the APC leadership should blame nobody but itself
\nfor its self-inflicted problems and come to terms with the fact that the
\ntrain has already left the station.”<\/p>\n
