In line with the objective of creating a seamless strategy to augment
\nits effective management and regulation of the telecommunications
\nsector, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will, on Tuesday
\n23rd of June, 2020, unveil a five- year (2020-2024) Strategic Management
\nPlan (SMP).The SMP that will be unveiled that day will leverage the National
\nDigital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS) as well as the new National
\nBroadband Plan (NBP) 2020 2025 Roadmaps. It will cover the guiding
\nprinciples and act as the operations manual for the Commission towards
\nactualizing the digital economy agenda of the Federal Government in the
\nnext five years.<\/p>\n

Essentially, the SMP, which was developed in-house with the stamp of the
\nManagement and Board, is a visioning document of the Commission for
\nplanning, monitoring, analyzing, and assessment of the Commission’s
\ngoals and objectives in the next five years.<\/p>\n

It will be resident in the Corporate Planning, Strategy and Risk
\nManagement Department, which will ensure that the contents of the
\ndocument become the guiding principles for the Commission in the next
\nfive years.<\/p>\n

The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa
\nAli Ibrahim Pantami, FNCS, FBCS, FIIM will unveil and launch the NCC
\nStrategic Management Plan (SMP) 2020-2024 supported by the Chairman of
\nthe Board of Commissioners of the NCC, Professor Adeolu Akande and the
\nExecutive Vice Chairman\/Chief Executive, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta.
\nAll members of the Board of Commissioners of NCC will be in attendance.<\/p>\n

The Executive Vice Chairman\/CEO of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, has
\nsince extended invitations to all the Heads of Parastatals under the
\nMinistry and all Stakeholders to virtually witness the
\nonce-in-five-years launch that is expected to move the sector to the
\nnext level, especially now that the stakes are getting higher in terms
\nof services provided and the quality expected by the consumers.<\/p>\n

The event, which holds in the Boardroom of the Commission, has
\nhighlights including:
\nUnveiling the SMP,
\nUpload of the SMP on the NCC Website and;
\nUnveiling the “Face” of the NCC Strategy amongst others.<\/p>\n

The virtual launch holds at 10.00 a.m. prompt on Tuesday 23rd June 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
