President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointments<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
\n
of 12 non-career ambassadors, assuring Nigerians of fairness in
\nrepresentation and inclusiveness in all matters of governance.<\/p>\n

The assurance from the President became necessary following recent
\ncomplaints after the announcement of 41 non-career ambassadors that some
\nstates were not captured.<\/p>\n

The renewal of the appointments followed a performance evaluation, which
\nnecessitated an approval for continuation in office of the ambassadors,
\nand the President will still decide if they will remain in their current
\npostings.<\/p>\n

The ambassadors whose appointments were renewed are:

\n2.\u00a0 \u00a0Yusuf M. Tuggar (Bauchi)
\n3.\u00a0 \u00a0Muhammad B. Madugu (Bauchi)
\n4.\u00a0 \u00a0Amb. Baba Ahmad Jidda (Borno)
\n5.\u00a0 \u00a0 Uyigue O. Oghogho (Edo)
\n6.\u00a0 \u00a0Dr. Eniola Ajayi (Ekiti)
\n7.\u00a0 \u00a0 Deborah S. Iliya (Kaduna)
\n8.\u00a0 \u00a0Mohammed D. Rimi (Katsina)
\n9.\u00a0 \u00a0Prof. Tijjani Muhammad-Bande (Kebbi)
\n10. Dr Modupe E. Irele (Lagos)
\n11. Adeyinka Asekun (Ogun)
\n12. Sen. Goni Modu Zanna Bura (Yobe)
\nThe President, again, congratulates the ambassadors on the renewal,
\nurging them to keep upholding and promoting the values of stewardship to
\nNigeria, while bridging good relations with other nations.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
