{"id":75313,"date":"2020-08-11T18:54:23","date_gmt":"2020-08-11T17:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=75313"},"modified":"2020-08-11T18:54:23","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T17:54:23","slug":"covid-19-containment-efforts-julius-berger-donates-more-hospital-pallliatives-to-abuja-kano-road-project-communities-and-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/covid-19-containment-efforts-julius-berger-donates-more-hospital-pallliatives-to-abuja-kano-road-project-communities-and-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 CONTAINMENT EFFORTS: JULIUS BERGER DONATES MORE HOSPITAL  PALLLIATIVES TO ABUJA-KANO ROAD PROJECT COMMUNITIES AND HOSPITAL"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Nigeria\u2019s leading engineering construction company, Julius Berger<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Nigeria Plc, has continued to sustain and expand its COVID-19<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">palliatives donations in the country.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The company had made series of important corporate social responsibility<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">contributions including food supplies, personal protective equipment,<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">much needed clinical beds, and mattress donations as well as ambulance<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">vehicle, amongst others to Local Councils, communities, hospitals; and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">government-nominated COVID-19 isolation centres across the country since<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the coronavirus pandemic began.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Julius Berger, in fulfillment of the company\u2019s Managing Director, Dr.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Lars Richter\u2019s pledge to continue to assist the government and people of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Nigeria to the best of its ability in the fight to contain the spread<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">and impact of COVID-19, again last Monday, donated large quantities of<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">needed beds to more health care facilities.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The Julius Berger hospital palliatives donation team from the Abuja-Kano<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Road project, led by Yusuf Ibrahim, again donated more hospital beds to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the\u00a0 Umar Musa Yar\u2019Dua Memorial Hospital, Wuse, Niger State. The Julius<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Berger team was received by the Head of Clinicals, Dr Richard A. Agba.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">He on behalf of the hospital thanked Julius Berger for its goodwill and<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">proactive corporate social responsibility gesture.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The Julius Berger team also visited and donated more hospital beds to<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">the Primary Health Care Centre at Jere, Kargako Local Government Area in<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Kaduna State, where the Wazirin (District Head) of Jere, Alhaji<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Abdullahi Daniya was on hand to receive the Julius Berger Hospital<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Palliatives Donations Team. The Wazirin of Jere also thanked Julius<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Berger for the kind gesture which he said is a reflection of the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">sensitivity of the company to the real needs of the community\u2019s Health<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Care Centre at this time.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The Divisional Manager of the AKR project, Mr. Benjamin Bott said the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">company\u2019s real interest in the welfare and well being of its operational<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">communities is a cherished historical corporate tradition, and the<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">commitment of the executive management of the company to upholding that<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">tradition is a continuing and solemn duty of all operatives of Julius<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Berger.
