Forbes Billionaire, Chief Mike Adenuga has continued to experience
\nfinancial difficulties as Bailiffs from the Financial Division of the
\nHigh Court in Accra attacked and seized vehicles and assets of Glo
\nMobile Ghana Ltd.<\/p>\n

The Bailiffs were executing judgment in favour of one of Glo Mobile
\ncontractors, DAMMAC ENGINEERING CO. LTD.<\/p>\n

DAMMAC ENGINEERING had sued GLO MOBILE GHANA Ltd for monies owed to it
\nsince 2017 in respect of maintenance services provided by the
\ncontractor.<\/p>\n

GLO MOBILE Ltd. admitted part of the debt which together with interest
\nstood at GHC3,522,088.50.<\/p>\n

GLO MOBILE Ltd. pleaded to be allowed to pay the debt by installment but
\ndefaulted after two installments in May and June 2020.<\/p>\n

The Court bailiffs will be going back to GLO MOBILE Ltd. yard at
\nKaneshie Industrial Area with technicians to dismantle Glo\u2019s
\nair-conditioners, equipment, and mast which is likely to shut down Glo\u2019s
\nsignals and operations.<\/p>\n

Pointblanknews.com had reported that Glomobile in 2019 could not pay for
\ninterconnecting charges with Airtel and was set to be disconnected
\naccording to a memo from the Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC.<\/p>\n

NCC said in the memo that it \u201cexamined the application and circumstances
\nsurrounding the indebtedness and determined that the affected operator
\ndoes not have sufficient reason for non-payment of interconnect
\ncharges.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sources had told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0that the planned disconnection of
\nGlomobile from Airtel interconnectivity is purely due to Adenuga\u2019s
\ninability to come up with funds to offset bills owed Airtel.<\/p>\n

Sources told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0that Adenuga whose net worth is
\nestimated at $8billion by Forbes Magazine has incurred so many foreign
\ndebts that he is now unable to meet the financial obligations of his
\nnumerous businesses.<\/p>\n

In 2007, Globacom secured an $800million loan to upgrade subscription
\nfrom 11 million lines to 18 million lines. The loan was also to help
\nboost network capacity from 13 million to 30 million lines.<\/p>\n

Of the $800 million loans, $600 million was secured from Alcatel, one of
\nits major suppliers while another $280 million was secured from an
\nunnamed source to complete its submarine cable gateway projects that
\nwould link Nigeria to the United Kingdom and a dedicated route to the
\nUnited States.<\/p>\n

Sources told\u00a0pointblanknews.com<\/a>\u00a0that of the many loans sourced and
\ncollected from foreign lenders, Adenuga is bogged down with repayments,
\nleaving his businesses to suffer.<\/p>\n
