The Niger Delta stakeholders have strongly rebutted the media report on
\nN712 billion looted by three amnesty coordinators indictment by the
\npresidential panel.<\/p>\n

Consequently, the circulating Interim Report of the Panel constituted by
\nthe National Security Adviser, Gen. Babagana Monguno, (Rtd.) is at total
\nvariance with the media report by The Sun Newspaper and a few online
\nsources.<\/p>\n

A statement signed by Hon. Famous Daunemigha, one of the Niger Delta
\nstakeholders, Yenagoa and also a chieftain of All Progressive Congress
\n(APC) in Bayelsa state and South-South political zone had cleared
\nparticularly Mr Kingsley Kuku of the any indictment by the presidential
\npanel.<\/p>\n

Daunemigha stated that the circulating Panel Report did not investigate
\nor review the stewardship of Hon. Kingsley Kuku who served as the last
\nSpecial Adviser to a Nigerian President on Niger Delta Affairs.<\/p>\n

He said the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) was domiciled in Kuku
\noffice by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.<\/p>\n

“Without mincing words, Hon. Kuku served meritoriously and delivered on
\nhis mandate without partisan inclinations from 2011\u20142015.<\/p>\n

“We urge the people of the Niger Delta to be alert and reject the
\navoidable insults and denigration we face in whatever guise.<\/p>\n

“The PAP under Kuku recorded tremendous strides. It started on a
\ndownward spiral after Hon. Kuku left office. The last two Coordinators,
\nGen. Paul Boroh and Prof. Dokubo, were appointed on the recommendation
\nof the NSA Mungono,” Daunemigha said.<\/p>\n

The APC chieftain had also urged the NSA to own up to his appointive
\nmistakes.<\/p>\n

“We urge the National Security Adviser, Gen. Monguno, to own up to his
\nfaults on leadership and public service in the Niger Delta.<\/p>\n

“He should take full responsibility for the infractions of Boroh and
\nDokubo, and stop sweeping condemnations of the Niger Delta leaders,
\ntalking as if there are no credible leaders from the Niger Delta who
\ncould have improved on the great strides of Kuku and his competent team
\nat the PAP,” Daunemigha further added.<\/p>\n

He affirmed that APC and indeed all political parties in the Niger Delta
\nhave competent, efficient and outstanding youth leaders and elders, men
\nand women, who can effectively manage the PAP.<\/p>\n

“We question the appointive judgement of the NSA and urge him and Mr
\nPresident strongly to look beyond military coursemates and tutors to
\nappoint the right people to manage highly sensitive and strategic
\nintervention agency.<\/p>\n

Daunemigha, who is also a founding member of the Izon Youth Movement,
\nFormer National Deputy President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC);
\nfounding member and former governorship candidate of the CPC in Bayelsa
\nstate said “stop insulting the intelligence and credibility of the Niger
\nDelta people.<\/p>\n

“Appoint the right people and sustain the peace and security of the
\nregion.<\/p>\n

“Partisan differences apart, we urge our brother and son, Hon. Kingsley
\nKuku, wherever he is in the United States of America, to focus on his
\nhealth and disregard this orchestrated media campaign and trial
\nrelaunched by reckless and irresponsible media outlets and their
\nsponsors.<\/p>\n

“Again, the NSA Panel Interim Report did not state what the
\nirresponsible Sun Newspaper publication asserted. It is a media report
\nfrom the coven.<\/p>\n

“We enjoin National Security Adviser, Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd.) to
\ntake full responsibility for the performance crisis in the PAP under his
\nsupervision. Stop creating and sacrificing our people, your friends.
\nSimply look beyond personal friendship and appoint the right people.<\/p>\n

“The PAP is a product of toil, sweat, blood, death and peace. It was
\neffective under former Presidents Yar’Adua and Jonathan. Comparing Hon.
\nKuku and his team’s sterling leadership and performance at the PAP to
\nthe period you supervised it ( 2015 till now) is like heaven and hell;
\nlight and darkness.<\/p>\n

“Accept responsibility and clean up the mess with better JUDGEMENT.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
