{"id":75771,"date":"2020-09-14T17:58:33","date_gmt":"2020-09-14T16:58:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=75771"},"modified":"2020-09-14T17:58:33","modified_gmt":"2020-09-14T16:58:33","slug":"efcc-re-arraigns-mama-boko-haram-others-for-fresh-n97-4m-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/other-news\/efcc-re-arraigns-mama-boko-haram-others-for-fresh-n97-4m-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"EFCC Re-arraigns &#8216;Mama Boko Haram,&#8217; Others For Fresh N97.4m Fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"adn ads\" data-message-id=\"#msg-f:1677828433919246252\" data-legacy-message-id=\"1748d81235ce7fac\">\n<div class=\"gs\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<div id=\":uj\" class=\"ii gt\">\n<div id=\":ut\" class=\"a3s aXjCH \">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Maiduguri zonal<br \/>\noffice, on Monday, September 14, 2020 re-arraigned Aisha Alkali Wakil,<br \/>\na.k.a &#8220;Mama Boko Haram&#8221; before Justice Aisha Kumaliya of the Borno State<br \/>\nHigh Court, Maiduguri on three fresh separate offences of fraud to the<br \/>\ntune of N97,400,000.00 (Ninety-Seven Million, Four Hundred Thousand<br \/>\nNaira) only0.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the offences contained two -count charges, making a cumulative<br \/>\nsix-count charge before the court.<br \/>\nTahiru Alhaji Saidu Daura and Prince Lawal Shoyode were re-arraigned<br \/>\nwith Wakil.<\/p>\n<p>A count in the first offence read: &#8220;That you, Tahiru Saidu Daura, Aisha<br \/>\nAlkali Wakil and Prince Lawal Shoyode, whilst being programme manager,<br \/>\nchief executive officer and country director respectively of Complete<br \/>\nCare and Aid Foundation (a non-governmental organisation), sometime in<br \/>\nthe year 2018 at Maiduguri, Borno State, within the jurisdiction of this<br \/>\nhonorable court with intent to defraud, induced one Saleh Ahmed Said of<br \/>\nShuad General Enterprises Ltd to deliver to you 3,000 (Three Thousand)<br \/>\nbags of beans worth N71,400,000 (Seventy-One Million, Four Hundred<br \/>\nThousand Naira only), under the false pretence of executing a contract<br \/>\nfor the supply of same, which you made the said Saleh Ahmed Said to<br \/>\nbelieve that you had the capacity to pay the entire contract sum upon<br \/>\nexecution, which you knew to be false and you thereby committed an<br \/>\noffence, contrary to and punishable under Sections 1(1) (b) and 1(3) of<br \/>\nthe Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud- Related Offences Act, 2006<br \/>\nrespectively.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A count in the second offence read: &#8220;That you, Aisha Alkali Wakil,<br \/>\nTahiru Alhaji Saudi Daura, Prince Lawal Shoyode, whilst being chief<br \/>\nexecutive officer, programme manager and country director, respectively<br \/>\nof Complete Care and Aid Foundation (a non-governmental organization)<br \/>\nand Saidu Mukhtar (at large) sometime in July, 2018 at Maiduguri, Borno<br \/>\nState, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court with intent to<br \/>\ndefraud, obtained the sum of N11,000,000.00 (Eleven Million Naira only)<br \/>\nfrom one Muhammed Ambare of Mohammed Ambare Ventures under the false<br \/>\npretence of executing a purported contract of supply, installation and<br \/>\nservicing of two units of x-ray machine Model 1800, which you knew to be<br \/>\nfalse and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1) (b) of<br \/>\nthe Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006 and<br \/>\npunishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A count in the third offence read: &#8220;That you, Aisha Alkali Wakil, Tahiru<br \/>\nAlhaji Saudi Daura, Prince Lawal Shoyode, whilst being chief executive<br \/>\nofficer, programme manager and country director, respectively of<br \/>\nComplete Care and Aid Foundation (a non-governmental organization) and<br \/>\nSaidu Mukhtar (at large) sometime in November, 2018 at Maiduguri, Borno<br \/>\nState, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court with intent to<br \/>\ndefraud, obtained the sum of N15,000,000.00 (Fifteen Million Naira only)<br \/>\n, from one Hon.
