{"id":75995,"date":"2020-09-30T19:13:07","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T18:13:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=75995"},"modified":"2020-09-30T19:13:07","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T18:13:07","slug":"nigeria-at-60-there-is-hope-afenifere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/nigeria-at-60-there-is-hope-afenifere\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria at 60: There is hope \u2013 Afenifere"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, says there is still hope for Nigeria as it attains 60 years of nationhood.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The National Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Mr Yinka Odumakin, made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>Odumakin said that Nigeria would move forward to fulfill the dreams of its founding fathers if the citizens would do the right things and the constitution reviewed to reflect the will and wishes of the federating units.<\/p>\n<p>He said that there was a need to separate good governance from politics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need a constitution that can put us together well, take us to the land of opportunities and ensure equality, fairness, and justice for every section.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need a constitution that can make all federating units proud of the nation. We must go back to true federalism.<\/p>\n<div>\u201cWe must ensure that we separate politics from governance,\u201d the Afenifere spokesman said.
