{"id":76040,"date":"2020-10-02T19:30:18","date_gmt":"2020-10-02T18:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=76040"},"modified":"2020-10-02T19:30:18","modified_gmt":"2020-10-02T18:30:18","slug":"sex-for-marks-imsu-students-cant-substantiate-allegations-to-face-prosecution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/sex-for-marks-imsu-students-cant-substantiate-allegations-to-face-prosecution\/","title":{"rendered":"Sex-for-marks: IMSU students Can\u2019t Substantiate Allegations, to face prosecution"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"m#msg-f:1679465235502470243\" class=\"mail-message expanded\">\n<div class=\"mail-message-header spacer\">Students of the Imo State University involved in the sex-for-marks viral video against one of their lecturers Prof.Victor Njoku of the chemistry department, have failed to substantiate case and would be prosecuted.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-content collapsible zoom-normal mail-show-images \">\n<div class=\"clear\">\nThey are going to face\u00a0 prosecution for failure to submit prove against Njoku\u2019s involvement in sex-for-marks allegations.<\/p>\n<p>This was the decision taken Friday in Owerri, by the leaders of Progressive graduates of chemistry and industrial chemistry of IMSU, led by the coordinators, Comrade Munonye Obinna and Frank Ufomadu.<\/p>\n<p>They said that the decision to write to IGP came after their seven days ultimatum given to the IMSU students had elapsed without any evidence.<\/p>\n<p>The group leaders had claimed that the private residence of the lecturer, Njoku was invaded by character assassins and a naked video of Njoku was taken and sent out to the social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSequel to the 7 days ultimatum given to every student of the institution who has any substantive evidential proof of Prof. Njoku\u2019s involvement in sex for marks to testify in public which elapsed on Saturday Sept.\u00a0 26, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hereby state as follows: \u201cNo single student has either come in public or secret to testify to the viral allegation of sex for marks levelled against one of the most respected Senior Lecturers in Imo State University, Prof. Njoku Victor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe the progressive graduates of chemistry and industrial chemistry of Imo State University wish to notify the entire Imo State University community that Prof. Njoku has been vindicated as it is now very convincingly clear to all that Prof. Njoku Victor has never involved in sex for mark since he started work in Imo State University till date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hereby call on publishers of various media houses, hosts of online websites and social media to retract, refute and expunge all negative forms of stories, nude pictures and videos reportedly recorded and published against the good image of Prof. Njoku Victor, within the next 10 days or face the wrath of the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They warned that they would officially petition the Inspector General of police to fish out all those behind the dastard act and ensure they are prosecuted for breach of fundamental human right, sexual harassment and criminal invasion under section 37 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is now very convincingly proven that the viral media propaganda and fabricated allegation against Prof. Njoku Victor is handwork of mischief markers and character assassins.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mail-message-footer spacer collapsible\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students of the Imo State University involved in the sex-for-marks viral video against one of their lecturers Prof.Victor Njoku of the chemistry department, have failed to substantiate case and would&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":76041,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-76040","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-exclusive"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
