President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said that it is within the right of
\nthe youth to protest and make certain demands from their leaders.<\/p>\n
This was disclosed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development,
\nSunday Dare, after meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa,
\nAbuja.<\/p>\n
Relaying Buhari\u2019s opinion on the ongoing #EndSARS protest after their
\nmeeting, the minister revealed that the President had vowed to see the
\nreforms he promised were fully implemented.<\/p>\n
Dare, who spoke to journalists after the meeting, added that President
\nBuhari also appealed to the protesters to give the government time to
\naddress their demands as the team set up had already gone to work.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cMr. President said the youth of this country have spoken and
\nhe has heard and he has since gone to work for the youth of our country.
\nThe President promised that he will ensure that the reforms he had
\npromised are met, he will make sure that the reforms are long-lasting
\nand that the reforms will deliver for our country police that we will be
\nproud of.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe appreciates the fact that they have brought the SARS issues to the
\nfore through their peaceful protest. He recognises the fact that they
\nhave called upon the government to do what is necessary and that as the
\nPresident and a father, he will make sure that the demands as put
\nforward are met.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President said that as far as he is concerned, it\u2019s important to
\nallow the younger generation to exercise the freedom to protest and make
